It’s time for the Jets to realize that they can put any ol’ reciever they want on the field but it won’t matter because their Sanchito is sub-par.
How do you make a sub-par QB look much better than he is? Beef up the O-line and lock down the running game. WR’s aren’t the answer. See Detroit during the Millen era and this years Patriots as examples.

Having stud WR’s when the aforementioned isn’t all that good is like sprinkling glitter on a turd. It’ll look flashy and whatnot, occasionally it’ll sparkle when the sun hits it right, but it’s still a turd. [/quote]
Agreed. Which makes the Peyton situation all the more interesting. Word on the street is that some shite will be coming down in the next week or 2 w/him.

I love the analogy, but fail to see how this year’s Pats, with Brady as QB, fit it.
Seriously, that last line was like poetry. Good stuff.
Still plenty of talk to go around about Peyton. That gets old though because it’s all BS speculation at this point. I don’t think anyone really knows what Irsay is going to do except him.

Favre 2.0
He will not make a decision until next month.
Combine starts the off season for me, I DVR all the days.

And I have to say that Bucky Brooks is an absolute fucking retard.
W. Saunders, second year TE for the Steelers, suspended first four games of the season. This fucking sucks, what a fucking dumb ass. He has secret weapon written all over him if he can clean up his act. If developed right he could turn into a red zone demom for Big Ben, Miller will do all the hard work getting there lol.

I was using the Pats as the opposite of the Lions. Lions had stud WR’s sans a decent QB, while in contrast the Pats had the reverse. Their WR’s weren’t stand out or studs in any measure, yet they still got to the SB. Perhaps a bad analogy?
So today is the day they figure out what to do w/Holmes. If makes it past today he WILL be a Jet next yr…
& in other news, most of the gurus that have mock drafts had the Jets going w/Barron (safety from Ala.) Probably not now. The cat has a double sports hernia & won’t be able to show himself until July/Aug…

Heath Miller had a sports hernia going into the the draft. Never worked out for anyone and the Steelers still took him in the first round. He was considered the best TE coming out of colledge that year but teams were skittish with good reason. Safety and TE are obviously different postions with diferent skill sets, one generaly gets hit and the other does the hitting.
He’s (Miller) been money ever since he put one the black n’ gold so you never know Print.
edit/ Holmes is a cancer but he can run a slant like nobodys businnes. If they want to change the culture of the team he should be shown the door. Tough call fo a GM to be sure.

It’s been contested that TE is the most heady position on offense besides QB. He needs to know pass blocking schemes, run blocking schemes, as well as pass routes along with being able to execute those roles as well.
A good TE is hard to come by, and injuries can heal.

Kinda hoping w/the injury he falls into the 2nd round. Maybe than we’ll take him. We need to pick up a lineman first IMO. They’re hurting all over the place. If you wanna install the ground & pound again, than I suggest building the line first.
I think Miller is a stud & Pitt doesn’t waste a lot of picks. They’re all clean & concise.
