Well, he did’nt. Also he is busy throttling billy Cundif while T Suggs crams a traffic cone up billys AZZ. Also, hating the Patriots is lame. It’s not our fault you got beat by the Donkeys, a team we blew out by 35…just because the Steelers couldnt beat either the Ravens or the Donkeys is no reason to hate the team that did
Matty is first and foremost a Jets fan, so he kind of has a reason to hate the Pats.
My mistake, its usually Steeler fans that hate the Pats. I never hated the Jets until they got that fat loud mouthed foot smeller Rex Ryan as a coach. Win the superbowl eh? try 8-8 fat boy. Never has a team talked so much shit for 2 years and failed miserably. And btw Sanchize sucks. Enough with the excuses. He regressed and never was that great to start with. while we are at it, tell Rob Ryan to STFU too. All those guys do is talk and lose. Nice act.
LOL, do the Jets suck, yeah they do this year…they didnt address their needs and every facet of their personell either stayed the same or got worse…so Ill take my lumps this year.

However to say getting to two championship games 2 years in a row is failing miserably then count me in, I believe we beat that Pats last year also, but I guess that doesn’t count.

How can a Pat fan not hate the Jets? Just when Ryan came into town you started hating them? Shit our hatred for each other goes further back then Ryan, think Curtis Martin, Mo Lewis being single handedly responsible for starting your beginning from mediocre franchize to one of the most revered (when he knocked out Bledsoe) Think that smug arrogant Bellichek foregoing coaching the Jets and quitting in a day and jumping ship to your team. Think all the former jets and pats players who have switched allegiances.

If you just started hating the Jets you must be 12, there is no other team I hate more than the Pats.

While there are some Pat fans on here that I truly like (Beans and Ddot) I really hope they are severely disappointed come SB Sunday.

Your comments on Sanchez screams ignorance just like most talking heads and idiot fans. Think of other top level QBs that have struggled in their 3rd year (Eli Manning Drew Bledsoe for instance) On top of that he had 31 total TDs this year…

This is in spite of the following:

A shit offensive line (wayne hunter and Dbrickashaw Ferguson were awful)
No running game
a horrible OC

This season disaster does not only fall at Sanchezes’ feet but the front office not addressing the needs for a pure pass rusher and a legit Right Guard.

The jury is still out on Sanchez, as DJ stated he has improved every year but everything is magnified in NY.
First of all, I have been a Pats fan for over 35 years and don’t like the Jets anymore than the Dolphins or Bills or any other team. You have some good points( especially about allegiances and front office), but admit Rex Ryans constant shit talking did nothing to help you and that locker room is lost. Sanchez panics and chokes in big games. Yes you do have other issues probably because Rex was too busy trying to get an all Pro secondary (how that work out). You would not hate belichek if he was your coach, trust me. I have only met him once and that whole “smug and complacent” thing is a media creation, just like the notion that Eli Manning is not an elite QB. I played for Coach Coughlin as a collegiate player, and I can tell you if he did not think Eli was, He would’nt be a Giant. Mr Coughlin is not none for being sentimental. Sanchez is not a locker room leader and that locker room is divided. And you are stuck with “mr quit on his team” Santonio Holmes and Rex 'run his mouth and finish 8-8" Ryan. Btw we beat you twice this year. Get used to it until you “fix” that team. I don’t think we will be disappointed, but I bet Rex is still crying
ehhh. but last year still didnt count?

I am not a fan of Ryans exuberance and BS that comes with him, Just because I root for a team does not mean I have to like every facet of them, Ryan is not my style, just as I would get bored of Bellichek’s mundane approach and tight lipped attitude, something in the middle I would prefer, obviously I would enjoy the results but I always enjoyed the Herm Edwards type of coaching style (not all of it, wasnt a fan of his conservative offense) but as far as personalities go I thought Herm had it down to a tee with media, fans and players.

No one is stuck with anyone in the NFL, while I doubt the Jets will cut him they always could and eat the money which is what I would prefer. I dont consider Sanchez a choker by any means, last year he practically willed the Jets to at least 3 victories.

I dont know Bellichek so I will go by his media personality and if thats what he wants to portray (smug, prickish and miserable) thats what I will react to. Ryan’s personality is created for the media as well.

You may have been a fan for 35 years but your posts ring like your 11 (-1 year from last post) so now your going to fucking throw out I know these guys personally and yadda yadda yadda. I dont know why that has any relevance to this e-conversation. Eli Manning became a Giant because of the Maras and the front office not because of Coughlin. Coughlin obviously as head coach will have some input but his no nonsense ass would have been fired as well if he didnt win this year. But because you played for him Im sure his, as you put it “none for sentimental” attitude would make him understand why it was done. I think Coughlin is a borderline HOF coach if he wins this year and am a big fan of his BTW, so Im not insulting him but to say just because Tom likes him is the only reason Eli is the QB for the Giants is comical.

Your opinion on who is a leader and who isnt is just stupid, you dont know, your not in the lockeroom, its hyperbole and opinion on your part stop typing like its fact.

Hypothetically if the Pats had a horrendous year, you dont think the media will be shitting on Bellicheck because he didnt address their lackluster defense? You dont think they would be questioning the shit signings of Ocho Cinco and Haynesworth? The only team I hate as much as the Pats are the Fish, but even with that being stated I am fair and objective…with that being said Lets go Giants!

Don’t even joke about Wallace leaving SN…but it is possible.
I’ve already accepted the probability that Wallace is not going to be a Steeler in 2013 unless something crazy happens.
What like a blown out knee?
Something like that. A big drop in production or maybe a loosening of the purse strings in the Steelers FO. I don’t count on either of those happening.
This Wallace situation reminds me of (I’m dating myself here) Yancy Thigpen from way back. Good solid reciver, put up great numbers, I belive he still holds the Steelers recieving record for yards in a season. They let him go in his prime to the Oilers(now Titans), too expensive.

This happened constantly back in the late eighties and nineties. Pittsburgh was the butt of many jokes. They would draft a guy, develope him and watch him walk away for the quid, it was brutal. The Steelers roster would get picked clean every off season like it was a player developemental program. Twenty years later and it still bothers me lol.

They break the bank once in a blue moon for a Ben or Troy but I doubt they will for Wallace. They’ll just draft another speedy nobody and develop him. Wallace may be fast but he sure don’t want to go up for those jump balls it seems. He’s no Megatron or Fitz so it will be interesting to see what he thinks he’s worth. I say it’s fifty fifty he stays.

Red Zone offence must be fixed, thats the priority next season. Defence should be okay.

So I was thinking this morning about the Schottenheimer situation w/the Jets. I believe we will get the true answer next just how good he is next season. He’s going from a less athletically talented Sanchez to Sam Bradford a consensus #1 pick. Should determine very quickly whether it was the OC or the QB.

They break the bank for future HOFers, not guys like Mike Wallace. IE guys that are very good but will get paid like they’re super stars in free agency.

I think Antonio Brown will get paid when his time comes though. The kid is a stud. I have no idea how they got him in the 6th round. His ball skills are on the same level as the best WRs in the league, he just doesn’t have the physical skills (read: size, top end speed) to match. Hell I just looked at his combine results and the kid only ran a 4.57. It seems like he plays a lot faster than that though.

It will be interesting to see who they hire to replace Arians. Art II has said he wants the team to regain their blue collar identity on offense. That makes me wonder what he’s been watching the last few years as the passing game has exploded around the league. He can’t possibly be that out of touch with reality. I think the person they hire as OC will tell us a lot about what kind of team we can expect to see in 2012.

Every now and then dudes come around that just seemingly aren’t effected by putting on the pads and run just as fast on the field as on the track(and some cases of the opposite, dudes who blaze for the stopwatch then somehow play ‘slow’). There’s also the thing where dudes are drafted at 20-22 who still have room to make decent speed gains through training in the weight room and on the field; scouts are never going to be able to evaluate ‘gets mad and becomes that much better because he feels like he got shafted in the draft’ in any kind of quantifiable manner.

I’d love to see guys get updated times during their pro careers so you can see which cases are which =p

Philly fan here. Looks like Brent Celek was a passenger in a DUI crash this morning. good thing he wasnt the driver, or his career would be DUNN for.

Wow, I would hate to be an NFL coach, I would end up paranoid about guys getting into something like this.

and with all the extracurricular shit andy reid has had to deal with just his own kids, i’m sure he is paranoid to begin with when it goes for his team.

I wonder if anybody has ever done some study on the long term health of NFL coaches?

Yea I can sympathize with Andy, been through my own kids issues.

Sounds like it may be an ugly divorce. Irsay calls Manning a politician: Irsay: Peyton, keep comments in-house | FOX Sports

Yep they are at that point of communicating through the media. I really think either Peyton retires or is dropped. Just dont know truthfully where he is at medically.

Indianapolis also got a new coach, Chuck Pagano.

Yep Baltimore’s DC. Waiting to see who he brings in as the OC.

Right after the SB if the rhetoric continues. If he(Irsay) announces it during, meaning leading up to SB, it would be terrible for the image of the “horseshoe” as he calls it, too much of a distraction. Bad for business.

Unless of coarse Manning say’s something really really derogatory towards the team or the owner. I personally hope it get at least to the humorous jabs stage before it turns ugly.

A healthy Peyton in Arizona would be wild!
