^AWWWW SNAP!
A report is out there that Charlie Weiss is taking the OC position at Fla. Wouldn’t that be some shit?!

You know what’s funny is that if the Raiders beat the Chiefs on Sunday they will be 6-0 in the division and not even make the playoffs. Has that ever been done before?

Saw that. That would be a disaster, really hope he stays. If he goes we should hire McDaniels as a replacement. Makes sense due to his links with Cassel

As far as power ranking the NFC playoff contenders:
With a few caveats: Chicago lives and dies by which Cutler shows up. Aaron Rodgers needs to learn to slide or get the fuck out of bounds. Philly’s D needs to play. I think it’s sad that STL/Seattle get in but Tampa or the NYG don’t.
If the Packers D plays, they have the best chance IMO. Packers lost to Atlanta, just barely. I think a rematch would be different.
This has been a badass year in the NFL, my Cowboys’ failures notwithstanding.
Please do not mention NYG when discussing the playoffs.
That is all.
I didn’t see Matty’s post so I don’t want to just slap print but what the fuck is this talk of the Jets being the Yankees of the NFL? That is the dumbest shit I have ever read on this site. Yeah just like the Yankees minus 26. 40 + years and counting. Jet fans are why the Jets are disliked. And now their coach is just like the fans. Can’t wait to see them get bounced.
I think the comparison was with regards to how many people now hate the Jets, just like so many people across the country hate the yanks. Nobody was comparing each teams success or lack their of. Print or I did NOT compare the yanks at all.
I hate thet Jets.
I also hate every other team thats not Black n’ Gold. That’s that way it’s supposed to be. I do have higher levels of hate towards division rivals.
Matty and Print, if folks are slagging your team it’s cause they’re good and will most likely get better…enjoy it! You guys are smart enough to know whats sprinkled with horseshit and whats isn’t. Having said that, I don’t live there so what do I know lol.
If the Jets had let’s say Tony Dungy as head coach with the same record, team etc would as many people detest the Jets?

Cool I guess we can agree he isnt that great, thats my only thing with him, i think with all the talent you mentioned above he should be better/have better stats. thats just me, agree disagree whtatever. maybe its shotty, maybe he’s the one that isnt good at giving him a chance to throw it around OR maybe he knows that Mark isnt able to do that year 2 in the league. He’s got to be decent tho right? He’s in the league, he probably will get better.
the other guy agrees with you and i disagree, i like the “fat loudmouth” and LT and J Taylor and so on, I just think that if they had a better QB they would be alot more dangerous.
I say all of this and watch NY march into Arrowhead and Sanchez have a stellar game and blowout the Chiefs…
Its a chore for me to root for Ryan, because if he was on a team like the FISH I WOULD HATE THAT FAT FOOT SUCKING BLOWHARD…but hes the jet head coach so I begrudgingly defend him.
so maybe thats why you defend Sanchez as well??
had to throw that out there,

^As much as you guys know I love Vick, “I say” I agree w/Brady winning it. However to throw a wrench into this shit, why not Cassell? He’s had a hell’uva yr.
absolutley this guy has really quieted the critics who have said he is a system Qb this year.
Yeah and everyone seen what happened the week he (Cassel) missed and Fraily Croyle stepped in, something like 68 total yards… FOR THE ENTIRE GAME.
But yeah hands down Brady, Vick would maybe be in consideration if he played the whole season and could kept his play up for the entire duration. I’m still hoping for an Eagles Falcons nfc championship game, I mean you cant write this stuff up any better. But I have a feeling the Saints might have something to say about that.
Great another KC fan. Welcome! quote]
why thank you, this season has been a pretty big surprise, before season started i was realistically looking forward to them improving somewhat from last year(figured 6 to 8 wins), but just didnt think it would be this drastic. the d has really stepped up, romeo has them playing well. we’ll see how they do in their first home playoff game since i think manning bounced them out in like '03.

Yeah but that’s why people hate the Yankees, because of their success. Not because they talk shit and never win. If the Yankees had 1 championship in the last 41 years nobody would hate them. The Yankees are a class organization, the Jets not so much. The comparison is ridiculous.
Im not gonna get into this again…again, I didnt compare any jet player or any jet team to any other pro team. In fact I said I never did. Im a yankee fan, so I guess all the hate for them will come out in the baseball thread when that is created.
My post had nothing to do with this comparison.
JS…Sanchez isnt a blowhard shit talker, I defend him because I believe in him. Like I said before I am generally not a fan of shit talkers, but hes the Jet head coach so I feel its an obligation.

If dungy was the head coach? oh man NYC would be cannonizing dungy, The feel would definitely be different.
Fucking Charlie Weis is gone God damn it! I am now praying we hire McDaniels to run the offense.

I was comparing the hate towards each team Wilba. Don’t get your panties all in a wad. I coulda used Duke basketball as well. Has nothing to do w/wins/losses. I know the Yanks are far superior than the Jets in winning pct. My point was how all these Jet haters have come out of the woodwork to drop their load of shit on them.
^ I’m not sure it’s all that prevalent on a national level. Maybe a little with hard knocks, sal alosi and some of the other nonsense that has gone on this year. Anyway, I know you and Matty are knowledgeable fans and not typical moron Jet fan I am forced to endure living on the island so I will let it go.
What is everyone thinking in terms of the Giants firing Coughlin? I have mixed emotions and would like to hear other impartial opinions.
Im a Coughln fan so Im not impartial. However there comes a time, and I dont care who your coach is when players start tuning you out, where your method or style no longer works. With that being said, if coughlin wins today and fails to make the playoffs, I think he should be led out to pasture. I think the guy is a borderline great coach its time.
That was horrible may even have been worse to watch than the 31-0 thumping by San Diego. If the Chiefs play like that next week we have zero chance of advancing in the playoffs.

He has to go but it’s not because he can’t coach. When the team was ready to kill him he softened up and they responded and won a SB. It’s too bad cause I like the guy, no one can whine and cry to the refs like he can lol. He has a permanent look on his face that screams “are you shitting me?”
Holy shit the Bucs beat the Saints.
Steelers #2 seed, I never expected that at the start of the season. Aaron Smith should be good to go which is fucking huge for that defence. Having to wait two weeks as a fan is brutal lol.
The only team I don’t think Pittsburgh can beat is the Pats.

A lot of the sports writers are chirping about the Ravens…
I mean, I can’t stand many of them that aren’t ex players or coaches, but sometimes they are right.
Pats, Jets, Steelers all looked solid this week.
Playoffs should be the tits
