Sir, I hate the Patriots. They beat my Panthers in 2003, stole a championship from Donovan mcNabb, and they kept Landanlian Tomlinson out of the Super Bowl.

Fuck the Patriots, but they never lose. They always find a way to win. Always. Even when Brady is out, they’ll have some random QB save them (Matt Kassel). Even with a rookie Defense, Belicheck will coach em up so they can win the game.

For the record…

I never said that Sanchez is great, or that Sanchez is great because he went to the AFC championship his rookie year, I never compared him to Brady and never will. So stop it. It would be inaccurate if the “you” you were referring to was “me.”

There is this belief that the jets to be successful have to be a power run team and Sanchez a game manager. This would be inaccurate. When you limit the Jets offense to predictable Herm Edwards esque offense you get what happened in week 1 this year in the Jet Ravens game. Where OC Schotenheimer would not ALLOW Sanchez to make a play, this is what you get. For the Jet offense to perform they need a BALANCED attack…up the gut with green, screens to Tomlinson, medium throws to Keller and the threat of deep outs to Edwards and Holmes. They have the offensive personnel to run a balanced attack, and Sanchez has the talent and arm to make the necessary throws, as he has proven this year.

If the jets give it green and tomlinson 40 times then they will no doubt lose…and Sanchez would be blamed.

Again I do not believe Sanchez is BRADY or MONTANNA or MARINO and will never compare him to them. He has the talent IMO to be an all pro caliber QB. NOW after 2 years, none of you (Randman, the bear fan and the Raven fan and all the other Sanchez haters out there) give him any credit for anything he has accomplished. Instead he is all of sudden the second coming of Rex Grossman, and Sam Bradford (who I also believe will be real good) in not even 1 full year has surpassed Mark Sanchezs’ achievements because the Jets have better personell, I think the 2 balance out when the Rams division is quite frankly embarrassing.

Randman a question for you, your living on the west coast now, at least thats what I gather from your posts. You always refer to “yuse jets fans” how many fucking Jet fans do you run into on the left coast? Truth be told on these NFL threads there are only 2 jet fans (print and I) that regularly post, and for the most part unless cornered are pretty fair with our team and others…(remember I have said the jets are basically paper tigers after your pats destroyed us)

I get it though, the Jet coach is a Fat Loudmouth and the QB is a pretty boy so the JETS have become PE #1 .

Its amazing (and I have said this before) how Ryan has turned the Jets into this bully evil type team and turned the pats and their pretty boy QB and surly non-good sportsmanship jerkoff coach into the football version of an afterschool special.

Sir, I understand your Patriot Hate. If I wasn’t a fan, I would definitely hate this team…if that makes sense. I just feel that Brady is destined for Montana-status of 4 Super Bowl Rings before all is said and done. I hope this year is the year. Carry on, Patriot Hater.

I have to say, though, for the first 30 years of my life, there were no Patriot wins to hang your hat on. We used to have this guy Steve Grogan running the show (shivers start to overtake my body before chanting Brady three times and all is well again).

I read the Internet dude. That’s number one. I see plenty of opinions from Jets fans, Pats fans, Giants fans, hell every type of fan. Number two, my girl is from New York and has a pulse on many Jets fans since many of her friends are Jets fans. She’s a Giants fan. And three, being a Jets fan is typically going to predispose you to LOVE Sanchez becuz you guys have had nothing to root for for years now ;0

And I do have to say, most of “yuse Jets fans” do OVERRATE Sanchez. The funny thing is you actually think I’m not giving him any credit, dissing him, etc. And what I would say is my opinions typically come in after someone has compared Sanchez to Brady in their first year, or that Sanchez could have a great a career as Brady has had (that’s how I got started in these threads responding to this nonsense); or a Jets fan such as you or Print talking up Sanchez like he’s the second coming of Namath or something based on your overly rosy picture of this guy’s impact to your team.

It’s funny that we have this back and forth thing going. You’re accusing us (non-Jets fans) of saying Sanchez isn’t worth a piece of crap and we’re accusing you (yuse Jets fans) of over-rating this guy too much. I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle to be honest with you.

I couldn’t agree with you more here. It’s funny how that perception has changed somewhat. Look, there are STILL plenty of Pats haters but loudmouth Rex and the brash Jets this year have taken SOME of the focus off our team cuz your coach and team has talked a lot more this year than they walked. Just my opinion…

And no, she’s not a Mets fan dammit. Baseball season gets real interesting in our household. I always ask her…How the hell can you be a Yankee fan?!?

^DUDE! Never have I, nor will I ever compare Sanchez to the great Joe Willy. Read every post I’ve ever made in here & you will see that.

I do agree w/Matty on how the Jets have become the Yankees of the NFL. I think we quit all the bashing until after the playoffs. Than & only than will I let you spank my ass if we don’t succeed.

Now w/that being said, I’m gonna give you props for being a Walter fan. In 47yrs I’ve never had a more favorite player.

oh no…that baseball thread should be fun, Im a yankee fan too…grew up in Met country though in Queens.

So who’s the MVP?

I go on other NFL boards cuz Im a nerd. and the overwhelming majority say Vick…to that I say bullshit!

Brady has to be the MVP…with the lack of personnel Brady has around him he has cemented himself as the MVP and maybe when its all said and done, the best QB ever? If you put kolb in as a starter with the Eagles IMO would still be decent, you take brady out of the equation this year and put in a mediocre or decent QB the pats are a 9-7 team at best (due to bellichek)

what say you guys?

Cool I guess we can agree he isnt that great, thats my only thing with him, i think with all the talent you mentioned above he should be better/have better stats. thats just me, agree disagree whtatever. maybe its shotty, maybe he’s the one that isnt good at giving him a chance to throw it around OR maybe he knows that Mark isnt able to do that year 2 in the league. He’s got to be decent tho right? He’s in the league, he probably will get better.

the other guy agrees with you and i disagree, i like the “fat loudmouth” and LT and J Taylor and so on, I just think that if they had a better QB they would be alot more dangerous.

I say all of this and watch NY march into Arrowhead and Sanchez have a stellar game and blowout the Chiefs…

^As much as you guys know I love Vick, “I say” I agree w/Brady winning it. However to throw a wrench into this shit, why not Cassell? He’s had a hell’uva yr.

Colin Cowherd made a very good point about this. He asked all of his callers how old they were when they were picking Vick for MVP and ALL OF THEM were Millenials. They pick what’s sexy, what’s exciting, what’s now, etc. I think he also asks them what they’re favorite show and many of them say like “Jersey Shore”. Cowherd obviously dismisses Millenials opinions as uninformed for the most part and I have to agree.

Hands down Brady for MVP. Vick was awesome. He was the comeback story of the year. But he didn’t put up Brady numbers, break the records that Brady broke this year, and didn’t finish off as strong as Brady did. It’s not even up for debate.

Im more of a modest type guy, and like that in my players which is why Wayne Chrebet and Curtis Martin are my favorite players of all time. Its a chore for me to root for Ryan, because if he was on a team like the FISH I WOULD HATE THAT FAT FOOT SUCKING BLOWHARD…but hes the jet head coach so I begrudgingly defend him.

how about Rob Ryan getting a head coaching gig somewhere…maybe the panthers or vikings?

Guys I cant root for even though there on my beloved teams…Jason Taylor (come on jet fans, really, lest we forget all the shit talking this guy not only said about the team but its fans) and Roger Clemens (I always hated that bologna headed fucker and wanted him to lose even when he was on the yanks!)

absolutley this guy has really quieted the critics who have said he is a system Qb this year.

Doesen’t MVP mean that if you were “out” your team wouldn’t win and if your “in” you win.

If Vick is out the Eagles still have Kolb and they’ll still be good, however if Brady or Manning are out they lose…period yes?

MVP trophy awards are weird to me, they seem more biased towards offensive players and I like defence, LT won it one year I believe.

So the ginger dictator decides to reduce the fines levied against players earlier in the season, WTF?..I’m lost with this guy.

DJ, I like your AFC list order, as much as I hate to admit it I give the Ravens the edge over the Steelers…then again…it depends on my mood at the moment lol. KC is a team that can really fuck up another teams plans for a SB in a one off game, after that they’re done.

Pittsburgh better get it done against the Brownies this week for that bye/homefield advantage, they really need it with their injuries. If they lose they don’t deserve to win anything. It shouldn’t even be close but against a division rival you never know…fuck they better win.

FTR Brady for MVP :frowning:

Brady has far and beyond put up the numbers that deserve an mvp season. However I question if anyone has been more valuable to their team than Peyton Hillis. This guy put the Browns on the map.

Yeah and everyone seen what happened the week he (Cassel) missed and Fraily Croyle stepped in, something like 68 total yards… FOR THE ENTIRE GAME.
But yeah hands down Brady, Vick would maybe be in consideration if he played the whole season and could kept his play up for the entire duration. I’m still hoping for an Eagles Falcons nfc championship game, I mean you cant write this stuff up any better. But I have a feeling the Saints might have something to say about that.

Great another KC fan. Welcome! Ya Cassel is a definite MVP candidate but ultimately Brady deserves it this year.
