Very good point Vin.

I have always felt one of the huge keys to his success is he has created his own mold of how he wants his players to be. He has made a great career of picking up the guys that were to slow, or small or in some way didnt fit the orig prototype of a succesful NFL player. Obviously Moss wasnt any of those physical things, but at a time where no one else wanted him, Bill saw he could get a good year or two of solid no BS football. Its a completely different scenario, but at the same time, the key to me is that he chose to think outside the box in terms of traditional football philosophy. He was right, as usual. I think he consistently picks the guy with the better personality over the guy with a 40 time that is .02 faster. I think he looked at Randys whole career path and saw, here is a guy who will be a team player for the short future, if not his whole career.

So, after reading I felt I had to clarify, I think Bel pounced on Moss because he felt his career path had led to no one wanting him while he was still in his prime. Bill may have felt that a guy like Randy in that situation would be a fully repentant indiv., which he was for a while. He probably didnt see that pot with HOlmes, just my guess.

Your lack of ability to master the quote function and use of vernacular say differently.

You were trying to pick a fight, it is obvious, and I’ll give it to you. I’ve gotten 8 hours of sleep total the last two nights, so here you go…

Thanks, I was hoping you would say that, because trying to decipher your responses without the quote function is painful.

To me disrespectful is

 1. Tom Brady trying to act like he doesnt ever do shit that can be considered disrespectful, like pointing and taunting the opp. sidelines like a 4 year old.
So a guy that was riding pine behind a tool in college that did shit in the NFL, and was passed up 5 fucking times by every team in the league can’t have a chip on his shoulder? But a team that was favored to go to the bowl, and has was catching heat for a only couple weeks in the press can?

How does that makes sense?

How is taunting a cornerback after a touchdown catch any different than pointing to the sideline?

Brady is one of the top 5 QB’s to ever step foot on the field. He feels like 31 other teams disrespected him by not believing in him. He has to listen to fans of other teams shit on him 24/7, and even Pats fans give him a ton of shit about being pussy whipped. He lost the most important game of his career a couple years ago… Yeah he has chip on his shoulder, and he is going to remind everyone that he is good ever chance he gets…

If that makes him an asshole in your book fine. I don’t like showboating AT ALL, from ANYONE. The Chad Jonsons and TO’s of the world, and every D-Line man that celebrates a sack when down 14 points suck. But to SINGLE OUT Brady as the only person that celebrates after a score was pure hateraid on your part.

You are hating on Brady here because he wins, NOT because he is any more of an asshole than anyone else. And in most cases, LESS of an asshole.

For the record I can’t stand teh pointing and shit myself. But I don’t think it is any worse than what many many many other players do. Ohcocinco talking about shooting the rifles anyone?

The media ignored it because the NFL said so. It is about sex, the NFL ever since Janet’s nipple has been very hush hush about it.

Secondly, Welker is a man’s man. He took shots to the head from 33 on the Jets (who is widely regarded as a very dirty player) in each one of the games the two teams played this year, and didn’t bitch to the refs one time.

Welker took a media shot, much like the Jets had all week. When Welker does it he is an asshole, but the Jets just have a chip on their shoulder?

Again, your opinion is biased. You can’t have you cake and eat it too.

That was a direct jab at LT. Look up what LT said about the Pats a couple years ago when the Pats did to the Chargers what the Jets did to the Pats.

Your lack of historical knowledge makes you sound stupid here.

I think BOTH of them are assholes, but you think it’s okay when LT does it… hmmmmmmmm, interesting.

Wow a non-Pats example.
Cromartie calling someone who is blatantly obviusly a huge asshole, an asshole all of a sudden makes the team disrespectful.
Again, why? Because he celebrates JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE?

Look, I get it. You don’t like the Pats because they win. I understand. And you are free to have your opinions. It would just be nice if you didn’t a) single them out b) try and argue that you aren’t doing that.

Fucking Ray Lewis got away with murder, Vick slaughter and tortured innocent defenseless animals, and Stallworth murdered someone in a car, but your best examples of “league assholes” to prove the Jets aren’t that bad (Which I don’t think they are either) are fucking players that do the same god damn things as the Jets do…

Your Pats hate is strong, and fair enough. I get it. But don’t act like your some objective observer here. You aren’t even close.

Also, FTR Pats didn’t choke. The Jets out played them.

The Jets beat the Pats. They were the better team and played a hell of a game.

There was no choke, there was outplayed and beaten.

Idk, anytime the favored team (especially @ home)loses it could be considered a choke.
Maybe that 45-3 drubbing made them a little over confident.

Fair point… I just don’t want to take anything away from the Jets. They deserved that win, and even though it still could have gone the other way with a little magic on the first on-sides kick, they really smacked the Pats in the mouth.

I think 45-3 & listening to the stupid fucking sports reporters did them in. They let off teh throttle because they believed their own hype. And then the Jets played good. It was like a double edged boning. lol

Vinnie is going to go on a shooting rampage.

That was a pretty cool move by Clay M, he needs to get a doo like the woman in the clip, he looks like a female BB lol.

So who here is picking the mighty Stillers other than Wol and I? I know it’s early in the week to make a prediction but…

DJ, I know you don’t want to pick Pittsburgh for reasons I can understand and I forgive you

Beans picks scare the shit out of me with that reverse psycholgy crap lol, I’m the same way, I think the worst and hope for the best.

Jets and Packers in SB. Both games will be close and probably decided by a field goal.

When did you become a bears fan…

no hope for the dolphins i know… no shooting rampage for me tho… sux that miami is a horrible sports town…

I’m convinced its the front office… shula retires, JJ comes in revamps the team and gives it a top 10 defense for years to come… during his time we get two shutdown corners, a HOF DE, and a probowl middle LB… however on offense we stall on more occasions then i care to remember and our kicker becomes the leading scorer for the team and there’s a revolving door around the RB… then weenie takes over and we get nothing accomplished… the defense holds its own for a few more seasons but qb is a revolving door, we do get two good seasons out of ricky williams before he bolts to smoke pot in australia and before we knew it poof there goes our next 2 seasons… then the cam cameron experiment with ginn and his family the whole team was a revolving door with players coming in and out… that was a failure but thank god for camarillo saving us the embarrassment… then comes parcells to save the day he puts in a no name coach and gm but hey its ok its parcells right? two seasons later the owner sells the team and 1 season after that parcells bolts with the job half done. we have a probowl LT and a defense thats starting to resemble JJ’s but qb is still an issue… we locked up a wr for 5 years but rb is starting to become a problem, not too mention our o-line has now become the revolving door. over the last couple years the dolphins have drafted poorly or traded the farm for stop-gap players… right now we’re in shambles… *sigh this is the team that i root for…

oh and for reasons that are already apparent i’m going for the steelers to win…

Man I don’t think I can go with both roadies this week, maybe 1 and that would be GB. Hell they’re favored by 3.5 last I seen
That’s got to be a slap in the face/ motivation for Da bears. Think it comes down to cutler and if he can keep it clean.

Other side if Pitt can control the line on d, stop the run and make sanchez have to throw down field a lot I could see Pitt
Coming out on top.

But yeah it would be pretty incredible if GB and NYJ both made it all the way, I’m thinking it’d be the first time a
couple of 6 seeds would meet in SB.

Honestly these games are all evenly matched. It really is a push when you break it down. All the sports guys that I listen to that are non-biased are all saying the same thing. They really have no argument for one team over the other. Shit like this always comes down to the fucking kickers.

I <3 you too man.

As for the picks:

Pack v. Da Bears

Really depends on Rogers. If he can play like he did last week, and make it a shootout, I think the Pack win, and by 10 or more. I don’t trust Cutler, but stranger shit has happened.

If it comes down to running, ball control, smashmouth good football. It’s a tossup and whoever has it last wins, UNLESS special teams get involved.

If it comes down to D & Special teams, I got the Bears by 7.

Pitt v. Jetz

The Jets are coming off a huge fucking victory where they were amped up, coached up, and 100% focused… Because of this, they are going to have to stay at that level to continue to win. If they let up at all, Pitt will ass rape them. They also have to avoid getting too cocky seeing as they won in Pitt earlier in the year.

If the Jets can avoid the emotional “breath out” they fucking pwn by 9 points. If they slip, at all, BB is going to penetrate their anus and win by 14+.

Pitt can win any game any where with that D, and BB seems to have great poise in clutch situations, so I don’t count them out. But I think its the Jets game to win or lose.
Sorry man.
