Sorry Beans, good friend of mine works for IRS in Austin and this time of year he is working 12-14 hour days himself. At least you do have the weekends off for football.

so i was happy now im sad… harbaugh rumored to be coming to MIA with a contract worth up to 8 mil/season but now reports say talks were broken off thursday night…
*sigh back to another year of mediocrity…
oh and i think VY goes to oakland… they love basket cases there[/quote]
If Sparano wants to keep his job, he will be looking for a QB and an OC. If he can at least make the playoffs next year they may keep him. SO they may be in the running for Kolb, Vince or McNabb.
agreed… henne experiment has failed although i will say that the o-line has been an open door for players to come and go and the running game this year has been horrible… i think henne has the physical tools but i don’t think he makes the right reads… i dunno what it is in miami (could be coaches or coordinators) but after marino qb play has been horrible… i think counting henne its been 11 starting qbs in 12 years… *sigh…
the play calling has also been horrible… henne would start a solid drive then wildcat plays come in and on 3rd and long henne is expected to convert… if something is working stick with it don’t change direction mid drive… aside from that its been boring and way too conservative…

kinda reminded me of UF’s play calling this year… put in everyone but brantley… oh wait 3rd and 5+ yds put in brantley… chastise him when he doesn’t make the 3rd down conversion…

There are no excuses Beans, your part of the family and must continue to share your presence. Maybe we can schedule some lives chats or a podcast.
I can’t wait for this weekend. A high end football buffet will be laid before us. FEAST.
feeling the pressure Print? If the Jets will rush three and drop in coverage to slow Peyton down would be a good game plan. They cant get pressure with 4 and if they blitz he will pick them apart.

Hell Yeah I’m feelin it’. I mean it’s Peyton for Pete’s sake.
Though I heard Jaws speaking this morning how he thinks we don’t need to do a lot blitzing cuz Revis has Cro on the other side. Last yr it was Garcon w/11 for 150. Wayne was shut down. So if we can 3 man rush & not give up the big play to Tamme down the middle of the field, we should be ok.
I really like reading Bill Simmons. Here’s an excellent run down of the rivalry of Brady/Manning and trying to decipher who is the better QB. These two are supremely talented and have made watching football for me pretty special over the last decade.

That is my thinking, dump off passes and short runs. No big plays, wear them down. Still going to come down to the O producing for the Jets. Run game and precise passing game. How is Sanchize’s shoulder?

Good read, and I think when we are in our 80’s people will still argue who was a better “QB”. Me personally I think they will both go down as the best two to ever play the game. For longevity and everything combined.
No doubt we have to own the clock. Need to get back into the mind-set of Ground-n-Pound. The less Peyton has the ball, the better. Sanchez is 100% according to Rex.
Check out the Pep rally they had NY last night, I think. Look at Matty sportin’ his Yanks cap. & he calls himself a Mets fan!

but i agree battle of clock management… i think it’ll be a close game that comes down to a peyton drive… peyton can make things happen, and there’s enough role players that they can score quickly… when u go prevent on peyton he’s gonna drive 6 yds at a time for a td…
then again two years ago the dolphins had the ball 3x longer than the colts and they still beat us… if u guys remember the dolphins had the ball 45 min and the colts 15… still lost by 4 or something… so i pretty much nullified my own argument
