NFL 2010 X 3

I think that is why Bill leads the Pats well, (hate to admit it) he keeps the media at bay and handles his stuff in house. Nobody knows what style he uses to motivate/inspire/reprimand etc. When the players finally get fed up with the fire and brimstone the team starts making little mental mistakes that cost games. [/quote]

I know. All anybody past or present from NE talks about is how he keeps them focused, makes it about the team not the individual, always focused on the next opponent, but no one actually knows what he says or does (other than cheating) to be so consistently succesful at keeping his players focused, motivated and united. I think alot of it starts with his unique take on analyzing and picking talent. The Patriots have lived off of guys who are “to” something (small, slow, etc.) because he is looking at something different than everyone else. I think one of the major keys is that in a stat obsessed world, he has focused on picking people for certain intangibles. Hes a fucking genius and I hate it so much

Hahahahahahaha Now Randman will be telling you how you know nothing about football because you hate the Pats. Just joking Randman dont get all up in arms.

Bill is in that age range of between the old school and young ones. This age groups has a bigger pool of experience when leading people. As a guy who now manages people I can respect him for what he is doing. I just hate that my team has not hired a coach with the same approach, instead of the knee jerk reaction from the previous. JJ has hired tough then soft then tough, he needs to step back and look at what the succesful owners have done.

4th and 2 last year really scaled back those claims a lot…

But after what he has done this year, with who he has done it…

I don’t know man. The dude is good at his job, and when he has a group of guys that buy in and listen, watch out.

One good thing that happened to them I feel this year, was getting stomped by the Browns.

Genius might be a bit too much, but then again, maybe not.

From media reports, he is the nicest guy in the world outside of the game. Pulls over and changes tires for ladies on teh highway and shit.

You think his ego would allow that?

Well I used to think not, but I have heard some reports from people close to him that his media persona is not a truely accurate picture. People want to hate him as much as they hate Brady/Bill etc. All I know is this we are not talking about a guy who was given everything in life, yes he may have contacts and start up money. However he has made a fortune with what he was given, so he is not a dumb ass. I have been a fan for a long, long time and I have seen him evolve over the years. He will put his ego aside to win that I know.

We say the same thing about Sean Payton onside kicking, but that was genius because it worked. He trusted his players to make a play they usually do, and they came up short.
I do think there is some merit to the idea that for a while he had strongminded people like himself to tell him no, thats a bad idea. And once the Romeos, and Weisses and Mcdaniels were gone, he may have had to learn how to rein himself in the last couple of years.

Lol, that is why he fired the D coordinator last year. He didn’t want a yes-man, he needed someone that would tell him how it was. Yes or no.

Fuck you gotta respect a boss like that. I try to be like that with my staff. I’m not testing them, I want to hear how it fucking is, not some bullshit. Bullshit doesn’t solve problems.

While I agree the media are a bunch of DB’s who are biased in every way about what and w=how they report and if they dont like a guy, they will paint him as an ass. One thing I feel like I see, is that JJ wants to win, but he also wants to be loved by the fans of his team and state. I kind of see him bowing to public opinion and keeping Garrett or whatever his name is, if they finish strong. Unless he can pull Cowher or Gruden, but both of those would challenge his reported need for Alpha Male status. SEriously though, it is ALL the media. Are we honestly trying to say that everyone of these multi mill. isnt to some degree a hissy fit throwing control freaK?

^ No I agree the guy is a control freak, and in no way think he is innocent. More like he got in a pissing match with Jimmie Johnson back in the day. But he did bring in Bill Parcels and Bill flipped this team. I have heard guys talking that are close to Parcels say that him and JJ got along. That JJ actually listend and learned from Parcels. That is the evolution I am talking about. Just the older I get and the more I have to deal in business and managing people I respect guys I used to hate.

I have also heard that JJ could really get Cowher and make a working relationship. However I feel Cowher wouldnt take the job because of being away from his kids.

Cowher a cowboy is most certainly blasphemy, unnatural, illegal, anathema, and unconciousnessable (or whatever that fucking word is).

What?!? You hate the Pats?!? What?!? No, cereally; I understand why many hate the Pats. With greatness, hate follows close behind. ;0

Takes deep breath. So one play call “really scaled back those claims”? I don’t think so. Look, I cursed the tv at the time when he went for it and it didn’t work. That being said, you have to take the good and the bad with this guy.

He’s a little bit of a calculated risk taker and in most instances it works out. He knew his defense was gassed at that point and Peyton Manning was marching down the field for score after score. Now that I have stepped back from that game and play call I don’t think it was that crazy. He was gambling on his offense which was still pretty good to make a play because he thought he’d have a better shot of winning the game if he didn’t give Peyton the ball back at all.

Considering how he just marched down the entire length of the field two times in a row for a touchdown score I just can’t fault the man for going for it. And if they made it? Everyone would be saying what an unbelievable genius he was.

You are toooo overly critical of your team man. I’m for criticizing my own team when they deserve it but you take it over the top dude. One play call does not a coach make.

Of course you would hate this, as a Philly fan this is your worst nightmare. That is why just now I went and sacrificed a goat to the football Gods begging for Cowher to come to Dallas. Just so we can beat Philly.

Okay I have a few minutes between patients today so I will ask you a question.

What is Bill going to do when he loses Brady? Now the one year he didnt have Brady he (or Josh) did a good job with Cassell, however hard to not say there success has been dependent on each other.

If you’re not from New England, I can understand all NE Sports Team Hate ;0

If you are from NE, may lightning strike you now.

There’s no question. And I really, really don’t want to think about this question. In a quarterback-driven league, a post-Brady Pats team is something I’m having a hard time even typing.

That being said, isn’t Belichik the master of finding new talent? I just have to faith he’ll find the next Brady. If not, it will be fire and brimstone in New England for awhile.

It’s a love hate thing. I actually liked the Pats and Celts until the Red Sox turned into Yankees JR. bought a WS and turned Boston into the most ignorant badwagon sports city of all time
