Newby Question - Best Basic Supplement Brands? Help!

Starting a conditioning program after a long, multi-year absence from physical training.

Are certain brands “better” or “cleaner” than others?

I ask because the same substance sold by different companies have huge price differences.

On Amazon.com, it seems that products by Pure Encapsulations and Integrative Therapeutics

cost 2-3 times similar products from Now or Nature Made, etc.

Where should I start?

I will be purchasing the following (as recommended by KSman) -

  1. B-complex multi-vitamin with trace elements
including iodine+selenium, High potency, iron free
  2. Vitamin D3, oil based caps, take 25,000 for first 5 days
  3. EFA’s fish oil, flax seed oil/meal, nuts
  4. Vitamin E Natural source
  5. Vitamin C and other antioxidants
  6. Ubiquinol form of CoQ10, 50mg
  7. Chromium picolinate
  8. DHEA 25mg

Thanks for the help and the fantastic forum.

Biotest. Seriously, where do you think you are?

I understand your point, but from perusing their website Biotest doesn’t sell the products I listed.

Anybody?

That is because you are taking the wrong products.
Superfood, Elitepro minerals, Flameout and Rez-V will replace what you think you want/need.

Now are very high quality for vitamins. Biotest are 1st rate for sport supps, you will really struggle to find anything better

My thanks to the RampantBadger for his thoughts.
