Feel free to tell me I’m crazy, as I know there are people on the board with much more experienced eyes than mine, but…did Ben Pakulski’s shoulders look a little off to anyone else? Synthol? Again, if I’m off base here, let me know.

His shoulders have always been tremendous. Even since his first mteck ads 3 years ago. I think he’s said he doesnt really train them much anymore. Just in the weeks before a contest and a bit in the offseason.

His calves have always sucked. I think that is the least of his problems though. It seems like once you build the mass, you can keep it even if you change your training style and frequency. If training hard is the problem, he must be scaling the frequency and intensity WAY back to cause the regression he has shown. He has had problems in the past few years trying to come in really full and being smooth,or trying to come in shredded and coming in flat. At least that’s what I thought. I wonder if his body just isn’t responding the same, as happens to some guys,or he’s having some kind of health problems. He’s young for that,so hopefully not.
As for guys using Esiclene. Who knows. It’s not very popular anymore. Some guys still use caverject. Tons of guys use SEOs and have calf implants though.

I hate it when people point out calves as if the guy isn’t working them hard enough.
Calves are largely genetic in terms of how big they can get. That was the first place I lost size in dropping weight even though my strength stayed the same. No matter what I do, my calves will never stand out like on some people who hardly train them.
As far as the rest of him, Wolf never stood out. He isn’t like Brandon, Evan or Phil. I know why he was in the spotlight originally, but still don’t understand how people kept him there for so long.
That’s always puzzled me too,… I guess moreso as far as how the judges view a top level guy (arguably), having an obviously weak bodypart. Something like lacking chest development, or back will be penalized,… and yet calves can SOMETIMES be given a bit of a ‘pass’, as if to say,… “sure, his calves are weak, but calves are a stubborn muscle group”. I guess this always leads back to the ‘total package’ discussion.

Nah,i wasnt implying he wasnt training his calves hard, its just in my eyes the appear to have regressed signifigantly.he obviously has high insertions but he used to have at least some inner calf development. i to train my calves increbibly hard and have quite low insertions yet i see WOMEN

But do you get to the ‘insertions’ part after seeing them, eh? know what i mean, eh? eh?
erm…
hahaha i accidently posted before i was done.i meant that i see women with bigger calves than mine- im sure dont do any training at all.genetics definately count a fair bit in that regard im sure.
looking at some of the contest pics,im thinking maybe wolf has torn or injured his left calf.
marius dohne never take 6th in fact he got 9th
