any reason to not just buy the new Surge Workout Fuel instead of the FINiBARs when doing ANACONDA Protocol?
(the peanut butter FINiBARs are all gone anyway!)

The added fluid might dilute stomach acid too much, reducing the rate of absorption. That’s why endurance athletes need to ingest solid stuff during a race, not only fluids.
But if you reduce the amount of fluid you use slightly, it might work.

Is there a requirement in the rest of the protocol’s water use? If I replace FINiBARs with new Surge Workout Fuel and adjust the rest of the protocols water down to make room for the additional drink will I be fine?
I had great success with a variant of CT’s older protocol, using no FINiBARs but relying on SWF, Surge Recovery, and ANACONDA.
Suitability of a liquid-only protocol may depend on the individual.
As with so many things, while the latest is the best known to date, the previously-excellent things are still just as good as ever.
I’m personally excited to give the new formula a shot, although I couldn’t really imagine drinking any more fluid around a workout. As it is, when I leave the gym I look like I’m pregnant with a little protein baby…
FWIW, when you guys first released ANACONDA I still had 1.5 tubs of the old Surge Workout Fuel around to use, so I replaced 1 FINiBAR with 1 full serving of Surge Workout Fuel until I ran out. I definitely did feel way fuller than when I used just FINiBARs, but I still had great workouts.
