The accumeasure reading is the same but the weight difference is 2 lbs. Can this be indicative of a loss of LBM? Also, it does seem to be a fairly sharp decrease in weight.
No need to worry, T2P! What really matters is how things are TRENDING. And your numbers are trending beautifully!
Besides, before too much longer you’ll probably be starting a clean bulk.

Do you have an outdoor area where you could keep a freezer? That’s where I have mine in an enclosed porch area. I have also seen them placed behind a house or apartment building. They usually have locks on them so you can make sure no one “steals your meat” while you are sleeping!
Just a thought…
I couldn’t live without my extra freezer…[/quote]
My apartment is on the 3rd floor and while I do not think they would look kindly at my putting a freezer on the lower level (other apartments, greenspace, etc.) I may be able to get away with putting it on my 3rd story balcony? I will have to ask them about it… The space would be so much more handy especially when meat and such is on sale.

Glad to have the reassurance. The trends are what matters and I guess I sort of forgot that for a little bit.
Food! Did I get your attention? Just an update on some things I have/am going to eat. This weekend was the best one I have had in a while simply because I did not have any place to be. Except for workouts and grocery shopping I stayed home and did some much needed cleaning, laid in the sun, and just got some general R & R.
I found this pizza place by my house that has absolutely the best deep dish pizza I have ever had (not an exaggeration). The crust is crispy on the outside but chewy and slightly doughy on the inside. It is also buttery but does not feel oily/greasy despite this and the fact that the pizza was a meatlovers. I did end up having the entire 10" pizza so my pie and cookies that I was planning on having a bit of were left alone. It was the perfect thing for sitting around with a bottle of wine and watching a saturday night movie.
This week holds in store my first sandwich in a while thanks to Tampa-Terry. The flax bread and turkey idea is great. I also found a recipie for lemon-mint hummus that I am going to try on it as well. In addition to this, I made meatloaf, chicken provencial (Lisa M), a broccoli egg bake, brown rice pudding (Lisa M), and turkey grapefruit salad (again Lisa M). It promises to be a great food week now that I had the time to actually cook again :-).

You and Chef Lisa Marie are cut from the same cloth!!! (laughing)
I can’t figure out why I lead such a boring culinary life when I have the two of you as role models. (grin)

Ha Ha Terry. You just have to get in there and try a meal or two, nothing huge. Otherwise make your significant other do the cooking for you ;-).
It also appears that my fears about loosing LBM were unwarranted. The numbers this week have panned out although it does seem as though progress is slowing a little. This is probably to be expected, the closer I get to my goals. So overall I am pleased with the results :-).

To get your salivary glands going go to www.meltingpot.com . This is where my treat meal this weekend is. It is my sister’s birthday so my parents, my sister and her boyfriend, and my girlfriend and I are all going to have dinner there. The Melting Pot has been an anniversary meal place for my girlfriend and I and it is amazing.
Fondue is always a fun concept and when you combine it with great ingredients, great wine, and special people it truly is a wonderful experience. It seems a bit pricey at first glance but when you think about all you get (a four course meal with the Big Night Out specials) it really is not that extreme. They are located across the country so check it out.
Westside for Skinny Bastards has also been a great program thus far. I am definitely getting into it and now that my body has started feeling comfortable with the new schedule I like it even more. The hardest day (today) is still doing a morning lift with an afternoon HIIT session. The humidity and heat in the afternoon just wrecks me!
Have a great weekend all,
T2P
Just a quick numbers update. I am having a treat meal tonight because my girlfriend’s family is having a deep fried turkey dinner (mini thanksgiving w/all the fixings)and I could not resist :-). Needless to say, measurements might be a little off tomorrow and the Tryptophan induced coma may keep me in bed too long ;-).

Boy, I continue to be in awe of your results, T2P!!! Arm and chest measurements are up, waist and weight is down. It’s obviously that you’ve got things dialed in and tightly under control! Really good job. And good for you, enjoying the moment. You make such good decisions. It really is about balance.

Thanks Terry! Hopefully you will be awed again ;-). The reason for my delayed post was that from this past Thursday through today I was in Wisconsin Dells. My family still tries to take one family vacation every year and we decided to go there as we had not been for about 10 years. It was a good time and although I did add more cheats than is typical, I feel that I struck a great balance especially when compared with how I used to handle myself on these trips (2 cheat meals and a few treats here and there ain’t bad). On with the results from last Thursday!

I had a chance to travel through the Wisconsin Dells. What a cool area. Lots of tempting (bad) food everywhere you turn. I think you did remarkably well for the situation you were in, T2P!!!
Hi there. I can smell your dedication. Good job! Consistency is the key to success. IMO
Curious thing: we’ve got the same measurements but I weigh 165 lbs. and I’m 168cm! The only difference is that my arm is only 30cm but the rest is the same. Would it be possible to see your picture? I can PM you mine;)
Good luck and keep working hard.

Lucy, T2P is male, and I’m assuming you’re female? That would account for the difference in weight/measurements.

Thanks alot Lucy! I figure that if it helps make me able to do more in life, then it is well worth it. Good luck on your quest of health as well :-).

One quick business item and then on with the trip info. I forgot to mention when I posted my numbers that last Thursday I decided to max out my deadlift instead of going to five reps. I was able to get 305 up very clean and feel like I had one more in the tank. It felt really good to know that the cutting is not hurting my strength either. Anyway…
Wisconsin Dells is a great trip for those of you who have never been. We checked out the House on the Rock which is basically a series of collections that this architect compiled throughout his life and some of it is quite remarkable. The three story doll carousel was creepy as all hell though.
Mount Olympus was a pretty fun time as well especially when it is a water park/theme park combination so you have enough to fill your day (maybe two). In fact, I love roller coasters more than anything and they have one of the only ones I have been absolutely terrified on…making it the best of course.
We will have to see how well I did food wise on Friday ;-). Regardless though, I am happy with the way I handled it and again this is one of the rare times of the year that I actually plan on splurging so it was OK in my book.
Hey Terry,
I was just thinking and where would yogurt fall into the plan? Everyone says it is so good for you but I am not sure how to utilize it within a plan. I know it is dairy so it would be a protein source but what about the high carbs? Should it be consumed primarily PWO?

It’s all about balance, T2P. I can diet with the best of 'em … and out-splurge/out-cheat most! (grin) Sounds like you, too, found just the right balance. Who cares what the scale says the Friday after you return home from vacation. There isn’t anything it would report that you couldn’t fix.
Re yogurt, I really like it. If you’d like a nice PWO meal, have some oatmeal-based granola and yogurt. Buy plain yogurt and add your own sweetener (like Splenda) and fruit (like blueberries, raspberries and strawberries).
Here are the most recent results. As you can see they are from Friday the 17th of August. The results are great considering the Dells trip. It was another busy weekend so there is a bit of a delay in my post. I did get to see The Bourne Ultimatum, which is a pretty good flick for anyone looking for a fun action movie. This week is the Minnesota State Fair and I am super excited. I gave my girlfriend a bunny as a gift 6 months ago but pending circumstances have prevented us from getting one until now. The state fair has a ton! Needless to say, Thursday will be my treat meal ;-).

Wow! Long time no speak everyone. It has been a crazy, busy, chaotic couple of weeks around here. For starters I was a little bad and went to the fair two weeks in a row and had cheat days rather than cheat meals (I know I know). It was a lot of fun though and I found that if you make every other item eaten something hearty (real meat like roasted chicken, pulled pork, or steak) you can actually control the crashes and further cravings that the more damaging sugary foods might do. Awsome end of the summer blast though.
We did end up getting a rabbit at the fair. His name is Leonard and I think he thinks he is a dog because I have never found a rabbit that likes to play and be pet as much as he does. The thing poops like no ones business though and litterbox training is going slow. At least he is using that for urinating right now so that helps. Also, I am quite allergic to him so I am trying to find the time to go see an allergenist and see what we can work out.
Who would want to be stuffed up and miserable around a face like this?
[photo]8072[/photo]
Time…ah how I wish I had more. Right about the time I stopped posting a couple weeks ago, I was enrolling in a class at the state university on Industrial Organizational Psychology. It was an area I considered pursuing after getting my undergrad but wanted to work a bit first to see where that took me. It is quite rewarding and a dang good hobby if you ask me and I love every minute, not to mention, work is paying for all of it.
They are definitely making me do my part, however, because right around that time our progress decided to jump off a cliff and basically I have been working a large amount of overtime while trying to do the coursework as well, hence the lack of posting. My nutritional plans have stayed dialed in along with my commitment to working out as well.
I will let you judge the results. Just to let you know, I only got four hours of sleep last night and ate a full meal right before bed (including a liter of water) and I think that might account for the weight change this week as my body was unable to process as much as usual. Let me know what you think and it is great to be back!

Well, T2P, body fat keeps coming down, while the scale is not. You couldn’t have had a more successful cut.
Considering the fact that if you keep this up your AccuMeasure is going to report ZERO, methinks you can switch over to maintenance for a month and start your bulk. (grin)
Re the allergies, do a quick search on MSM + allergies. It’s never failed me, as many times as I’ve recommended it to people. There are (natural) healthcare practitioners who believe that allergies are due to a sulfur deficiency, which is what MSM is.
I buy mine in bulk, by the pound. I pay less per pound with shipping than you’ll pay to buy a bottle in healthfood store. Check out wwww.msm-msm.com. You can add it to your coffee or water or just about anything. It’s pretty bland.
Start off with 1/4 teaspoon at breakfast and dinner.
Day 2, 1/2 teaspoon at breakfast and dinner.
Day 3, 3/4 teaspoon at breakfast and dinner.
Stop at whatever amount provides you relief. Do not take some before you go to bed. You won’t be able to sleep.

Terry, thanks for the response. I think that beginning Monday the 17th I will switch over to maintenance because I already have some meals planned/cooked at this point that cover my usual numbers. So just to clarify.
Based on my current weight (about 178) my fat intake should be 89g along with an increase to 1C beans. Does protein intake and carb intake stay the same (p = 184g and c = 50g) despite the change in weight? As for the MSM, I will have to take a look into it. What type of allergies do you use it for?
