well my mom is visting and I have let that be a good excuse for me to do nothing but eat and drink. Anyway Elction is over and I have spoke with the newly elected sheriff and he had agreed to allow me to fight. Better yet he has some boxing expereience and has agreeed to help me with my training. I have also found a training partner hes ont eh Indiana state police swat team and in superman shape so I figure I will spend the next 5 months getting my ass kicked.

ok my mom is gone back to arizona and I am back on a somewhat normal schdule so no more excuse hopefully. I have just short of 5 months to get in shape and drop to 195 lbs. I am hoping to box on april 2nd and lift in a meet on april 10th if all goes well. I will be much more focsed on conditioning for awhile but that is always where I wanted to end up anyway…

started a little heavy but I know it will get better. I used to always wait 3 mins between sets and now I am waiting 2 mins on the main lifts and 1 minute on the rest that should help with my muscle conditioning.
Good luck on dropping the weight and the training for the fight. Sounds exciting & nervous at the same time.

then 3 1 min rounds with 1 min rest on the heavy bag, then 3 1 min rounds with 2.5lb weights in each hand…
I will tell you if you have never hit the heavy bag before this is one hell of a workout brings an all new respect for boxers and there muscular endurance
How are the back of your hands feeling? I’ve worked a punch bag sporadically in the past and it always gave me pains in the back of my hands, I was only wearing mitts though.
I’ve never been punched in the face in my life so I have no idea how well I could take a punch.

Hands are doing ok I wrap my hands and use the heavy bag mitts I have for now. as far as my jaw goes we will have to see. I fought alot growing up and did pretty well but this will be completely different. I have found atleast 1 training partner and am hoping for a couple of more so that I can start gettting hit in the face and get desensitized to the pain of it all…

thats a great quote I plan on getting hit a whole bunch before then so it doesnt change the plan to much. this really is a carry over for my job which is one reason that I am doing it. I have to be able to take a punch and fight for my life on a daily basis figure as long as I have to be prepared for it every day I might as well train for it.

wasnt really feeling it today when I went out into the garage, probably the capt. and coke from last night, but I told myself that I would get into it when I got started…wrong. Squats really took it out of me droping to the 2 min rest instead of 3 plus the 3 to 4 weeks I didnt do jack really took some strenght away.
This is the first time for rack pulls and they were just below the knees thought 255 would be light walked up to the bar and pulled the first time and it didnt budge. stepped back scraqtcehd the old head and went again. I let every rep completly settle before pulling the next WOW… back was toast and my left inner thigh had a tingle so I called it quits before I hurt myself
