My bad if there’s any repeats, but this stuff’ll make you hit something…either a PR or that guy curling the bar at the squat rack.

I’d never heard of The Heavy before, or rather I’d never heard their music before this thread. I checked them out on Grooveshark after The Professor’s comment about them and The Roots, and I am now hooked. Great band!
Agree-- great stuff.
I also haven’t heard of Robert Randolph and the Family Band.
Great thread.

The Heavy song “Short Change Hero” is bad ass…and sounds like a sound track for a Red Dead Redemption movie.

More please.
Got recommendations for sat or streaming radio for stations with these bands (and similar) in rotation?

Definitely, I’ve had that on my IPOD for some time now. The Heavy does not get old.
Evan nice shit. Where the hell do you find this music??

Jazzanova
Jazzanova!?!? I didn’t think anyone but me ever listened to them. I interviewed them about two years ago for the magazine I write for but it didn’t go that well. They’re from Germany so I asked them if they planned on collaborating with Atari Teenage Riot anytime soon. For whatever reason this didn’t go over that well, and when I asked them what kinds of drugs they preferred, things took a sharp turn downward. But I like their music.
Edit: I narrowly resisted the urge to ask them some questions about The Hitler Youth League or some inappropriate shit along those lines.

See guys, even if he may not be the best rapper, if you hear a beat like that and your head isn’t rocking at all, chances are, our taste in music is drastically different (even though he isn’t good enough for me to get his cd or anything).
If you can’t FEEL the music, I can’t train to it.
Dudes screaming into mics with no vocal talent or rhythm don’t cut it.
I imagine only people not very rhythmic themselves would be into that.
Some of you must have sex like autistic chipmunks judging by the music you listen to.
Na, that’s not true at all. I actually love all of the music that you’ve posted and enjoy yourself…I just can’t train with it. That’s my chill/driving music. When I’m training I need songs like:
The Heavys. Check em out.
Not really workout jams per say, but drivin in the car with the windows down, cruzin in the summertime it aint too bad
Have you guys even checked out the last few pages? I have posted that Cee-Lo song and posted a few videos by the Heavies.
