I’m currently listening to the new Kings of Leon album, ‘only by the night’. Kings of Leon became my favorite band of these recent years back in 2005. A group of real young southern guys from Tennessee. They first got a big following in the UK, which is really strange for the style of music they play, being so southern US and homegrown. I guess good ears recognize something authentic when they hear it. I certainly do… I love this band.

This is officially the third time I’ve listened to this new album, I know from past experience it will take quite a few more before it really sinks in and I can taste its vibe. I think they have gone a bit more mainstream lately, but I won’t write them off based on that alone, as long as the music is good. It’s sad, I always hold my breath when a band I like comes up with a new album, thinking… is this the time they will alienate and lose me? But thus far I have liked all albums, if I have to walk away dissatisfied from this one, they still gave me a hell of a lot.

between the buried and me - “white walls”

BUMP

So its been 3 months since someone posted “new music”.

Have any new bands/songs emerged since then, that you really liked…

Akon’s new one is worth picking up.

It’s like he really hit his stride with this one.

Also, I don’t see why people are hatin’ on Kanye’s new one. It beats just using other people’s music like P. Diddy.

Homeboy Sandman is pretty good.

Jakki tha Motamouth:

John Robinson:

Justice - A Cross The World. IMMENSE

its there live album and i would have gave both my testicles to be at it. sounds amazing. and it fires you the fuck up as well.

Not really…
I liked akon’s older work, but this new album sounds like he made some modifications to his voice altering machine thing, and he sounds way too nasly and whiney.

Dimmu Borgir- Hybrid Stigmata: The Apostasy

Burzum- Lost Wisdom
Goatwhore- In the Narrow Confines of Defilement
Immortal- Beyond the North Waves
Dimmu Borgir- The Chosen Legacy

Should set your ears straight for awhile.

What kind of music are these?

I was thinking Gospel up until “Goatwhore”.[/quote]

They are all black metal bands from Scandinavia. VERY VERY few people will have preference in that genre.

^ It’s also a bit odd to recommend the one-man band Burzum to a black guy, considering the sole performer, Varg Vikernes, is a proud Nazi sympathizer and has written articles and books on Nazism and White Nationalism and usually dons the typical SS haircut.

I just noticed Burzum had a song on the soundtrack to the movie ‘Gummo’. That’s one hell of a screwed up movie … and he killed a guitar player Lol.

MOST European black metal bands are Nazi sympathizing or “Eurocentric” or pro-White or National SOCIALIST or whatever you want to call it. Some are just blatantly unapologetic about it (ie: Greece’s Der Sturmer; how much more flagrant can a band get?; their name is that of a popular 1930s, Nazi newspaper). Others SAY they are not of this orientation but sure are bullshitting about it, considering most of their lyrics and imagery deal with Norse mythology, Nazi Germany, European symbols, and other stuff.

So, suggesting music by these bands to Jews and non-Whites is silly.
