Yeah…Colin Ferrell was in so many movies in 2003/2004 that if he’s in anything now it feels retro.
Fire him and get anybody else to be in it.

Colin Ferell had the poor luck of being an 'I can’t believe it’s not Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt" secondary actor.
Ha! That’s a good way of putting it too!
I don’t feel that he is a strong enough actor to play the lead and carry a movie.

Carrie remake supposed to come out next year.
Directed by Kimberly Pierce (directed Boys Don’t Cry)
Starring Chloe Moretz as Carrie and possibly Julianne Moore as the mother.
It’s supposed to be more like a reboot from the book, rather a “remake” of the original. The story’s set in the modern day and it might also include some “found footage” (think Blair Witch-y POV shaky-cam stuff), which makes sense considering the bullying and the end scene.
I’m actually looking forward to it.
First set pic of Moretz in character. Movie’s due out next March.
First pic of Moore as crazy mom.
^ Link has a kinda-maybe “spoilerish” pic of Moretz/Carrie in the prom dress covered in blood.

Also, and I’m just realizing this, how did Superman shave? Didn’t Superman 4 teach us that his hair can withstand 1,000 pounds of force? ![]()
.
He uses his heat vision. I saw that in some 90’s Superman comic once when he let his hair grow longer. Apparently nothing else can shave his face.
I never realized Superman was so vain. Big blue boyscout my ass. He’s Patrick Bateman with a cape.
Q. What do you get if you cross Ong Bak with The Raid, Bruce Wayne’s origin story and a few well placed power chords?
A.Bangkok Revenge.
Roy is that on Netflix?

I don’t think it has been released yet (sometime in September I believe). Jon Foo is the lead: he played Jin Kazama in Tekken and ‘kung-fu guy’ in The Protector:
I get the impression that this is Thailand’s answer to The Raid, but Foo isn’t of Thai descent, and he is obviously fluent in da Eengleesh, so this might well have a good chunk of English dialogue combined with top flight Asian fight choreography .
Cool. Roy what was the name of the movie you mentioned a while back foreign film some thing with bullets in title. We were talking about old boy I think.

22 Bullets.
I am almost finished the book and it is very good. Six stories that share a link, going from a story set in the South Pacific in the 19th Century to a post-Apocalyptic Hawaii.
It may just end up being a beautiful mess.

Thanks, D. That and Dredd should tide me over nicely until Looper is released (which is already being touted by critics as the best sci-fi movie of the year).

It takes a lot of balls for someone as high profile as Larry Wachowski to have a sex change.
