Strong as ever…
You’re the one with a hill out back, right? Build an in-law wing for your house at some point…

Impressive memory. Hill, in-laws all that stuff. I’m that guy. Just a bit older.

I want to start some stone lifting when I move to Portugal. My new place is literally littered with granite boulders from the size of a basketball up to a small car. I’d be daft not to.
It might sound funny, but how do you lift your stones? what constitutes a lift?
to the shoulder and then put them down? or to full stretch overhead?
do you swap shoulders? do you drop them or lower them down?

Be carefull stonelifting is addictive. I would do it more but my back has been bothering me and its easy to over train. There are several lifts: chest height, shoulder and over head. You can also do zercher squats or zercher GMs. Really any lift.
The way I lift a stone to chest height is as follows:
4/8
10 sled drags/sprints
Got outside and got some sun on my head.
4/11
1a. MP (1st rep cleaned) 135x5,5 155x5 175x5 195x2 205x1 155x15
1b. chins BWx6x5 BWx9
2a. bench 275x12
2b. 1 arm row 120x12
5 tire drags
4/13
got outside
3.stonelifts to chest x 8 or 9 sets x 1-3 reps
4.5 sled sprints
4/16
1a. bench barx20,95x10,135x5,185x5,225x4,275x3,295x2,315x1,1,275x15
1b. 1 arm db rows 100x several sets x10
2a. MP 135x15
2b. chin up BWx4
6 sled drags
Good work in here Steve!
Hows your family doing?
Strong 15 is a solid program.
Imo the LRB 365 is a very good thought out plan ( his newest program)
Rick
Good work. I’m guess the strong 15 is the reason for the 15+ reps on your last sets?
Rick, great to see you. All is good. Kids are getting big. I bet the same is happening in your house as well. I hope yours are happy and healthy.
Sen Say, I semi follow strong 15 and sometimes 5/3/1. I’ve stolen ideas I like from both.
4/17
8 sled drags
I made a smaller sled for my younger son and my wife to pull. The three of us all pulled together today. I’m was so pumped.
4/18
super set
bowflex leg ext 120x8x20
trap bar deadlift 135x10,185x10,225x10,275x10,315x10,365x10,405x10,455x3
I was short on time so I busted this out in 25 minutes. By the time I got to 455 I was toast.
4/20
1a. MP 135x5,5 155x5x5 (1st rep cleaned)
1b. bowflex pulldowns 8 sets x 10-50 reps
2. 1 arm db shld press 40x36 each arm
Mentaly felt good today but I was weak like a kitten. Just went through the motions.
4/21
10 sled drags - 5 walk + 5 sprints
Life is good.
4/25
Made the mistake of eating dinner and lying around before I worked out. All I wanted to do was close my eyes.
4/26
10 sled drags - 5 walks + 5 sprints
4/29 no belt
4/30
2 long stone carries
2 stone lifts
6 sled drags - 4 walking, 2 sprinting
I was really happy with these stone carries. The distance I covered in 5 stone carries two days ago only took 2 carries last night.
Good work on the stone carries and everything else. Your training looks solid.
