New Guy

Hi,

As far as your eating plan goes you might need to make a few tweaks. As a trainer who specializes in training men over 40 I have seen many guys in your situation. You are taking all the right steps and I know you are going to be succcessful with this. Recently I have been recommeding a book for my clients who either insulin resistant or have diabetes, its called THE METABOLISM MIRACLE by Diane Kress- It may help get some more variety into your diet and help you to get your body fat into the single digits.

I also have abook that follows the cave man princilple that any diabetic can use called THE FAT TO MUSCLE CHALLENGE.
Hang in there

Thanks, Jim!! I’m currently doing the TNT diet, which is a meat and veggie diet. I try not to eat more then 30 grams of carbs per day. I can’t lose weight for nothing!! I have been diagnosed with metabolic syndrome too.

As far a exercise, I do a full body workout on M,W,F. And I workout on the treadmill Tue,Thur. I need the treadmill just to keep my sugars down. For some reason, weight training doesn’t keep my sugars in check.

Jim, any suggestion you have would be much appreciated!!

Thanks!!
