What if someone told you it was like getting more chin-ups in a bottle? :slightly_smiling_face:

More chin-ups in a bottle: That’s a great comparison.

I’d have to be pretty drunk to believe that and I don’t drink ? Ha ha!!
If I ever get my hands on some of that Plazma I’ll mix it up and guzzle it and if after that I somehow am able to magically do 4 chins I’ll get an old wagon and put Plazma on the side , put on a top hat and drive around town yelling, get your chins you’ve dreamed of , drink Plazma !! Ha ha !!

If you were a regular at a old school gym in the UK , you would be known as ā€œScotty the Chinā€ or ā€œChin up Scottyā€

Like the guy who weighs 350 pounds called slim, ha ha !!

I think Biotest should endorse Scott with a months supply of Plazma, in order to master the chin-up. Then they can use his success story as PR in order to sell even more Plazma to the masses.

I have learned some about bloodplasma and plasma expanders, but know less about Plazma. Is there any connection at all - or just a cool name?

I think the only thing That would help me is this new secret supplement coming out soon called Turn Back the Clock ! From what I hear it’s got this cool dial on the bottle that you just adjust to the years you want to go back too!! It works but it’s expensive, $89,089 . That’s $89,000 for the Delorean and $89 for the mix. A bit of a price to pay to do some chins, ha ha.
The only supplement I want right now is my dang vaccine shot which they just cancelled . The schools where I work are wanting us to come back to work soon with all these snot blowing virus carrying kids. Sort of makes building muscles seem insignificant .

Plazma contains citrulline malate. If you look online, you find that it increases Nitrogen Oxide levels in the blood, and thus potentially improves blood flow to the muscles.

Thanks Al! Interesting. I periodically use Citrulline Malate as a pre-workout drink. And yes, it may add better blood flow (pump), but the difference is to me not that clear, provided you have a decent level of hydration.

I see a lot of people on here and YouTube talking about muscle pump aids. I get more pump with this or that formula . I can’t remember ever having a problem pumping up a muscle? Is getting a good pump a problem for many?

I’m not talking about a contest pump but a workout pump that your arms or whatever muscle gets when you pump it with weights and flex it.

I never found I had to eat any differently for workouts, 10 ks or triathlons. I did eat slightly different for marathons .

One thing I’ve never had a shortage of was energy. I never had to think of eating anything other than what I always ate during the day before a workout. I usually would eat lots of snacks during the day instead of stuffing myself at the usual 3 big meals.

I purchased and read-through the book this afternoon. Well organized and efficiently written. I have to admit, my main disappointment is being told to go back to 3 workouts per week. Dropping by the gym on Saturday morning and being done for the week fits my busy life. I will do the 5 weeks, because I like a challenge and it’s good to break out of routine. I suspect afterword I’ll be back to once-a-week Saturday mornings. RECOMMENDED!

Yes, nothing wrong with building muscles with food/wife nutrition and rest. In fact I would say relying on supplements to build muscle is not right at all … wrong. Something’s missing if we are led to believe supplements are necessary or even ā€œhelpā€. I will get in line for dinner instead.

Rick. I’m up nicely…

Unless your body can’t absorb basic nutrients the normal way I agree with you completely ! I’ve been the supplement route many times with grand boasts of building maximum muscle and it never made a fig of a difference . I did however lose some weight, my wallet got very thin, ha ha !

30/10/30

My better half & I

1ST week - 3 exercises

Nautilus Multi Biceps
Nautilus Leverage hip/leg press
Nautilus pullover

2nd week
add 4th exercise
Nautilus Next Generation abdominal

completed all reps
noticed a distinct lack of fatigue post-WO

I’ve been doing a couple 30-10-30 exercises in my workouts the last couple of weeks, simply to gauge where to set my weights when I give the whole ā€˜Extreme’ program a try. What I have noticed is an EDOMS — or Extra-Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness — effect! 2 days afterwards was when the soreness showed up the 30/10/30 muscles groups. Perhaps the less-than-full Wednesday workout would help one work through this?

I’ll be on the lookout for this phenomenon. Thanks!

I have been strictly timing the eccentrics at 30 seconds with a mini-IPad stopwatch.
Going past 30 seconds on the eccentric may be counterproductive
