new articles. chris shugart?

hey, chris, I’ve always enjoyed your articles. A few days ago you said something about an upcoming article on depression treatment and drug alternatives. Sounds interesting. What else do you have coming out? Is the new T-dawg diet ready to go? just curious.

Thanks. Glad you like my stuff.

Here are a few articles I’ve already finished. Some will be published for sure, while others are still awaiting approval from the big boss:

The Microcurrent Revolution- Using electromedicine to treat pain, depression, insomnia, anxiety and stress.

Dawg School: The Bodybuilder’s Hierarchy of Needs. An article about what to take care of first in terms of diet, training, and supplementation.

An interview with Dr. Jeff Stout- mostly diet info.

The Psychology of Big: A two parter about the relationship between the mind and body and how to “trick” the body into growing through mental processes.

A Guest Atomic Dog about kinky sex.

Those are all finished. Articles I’m working on now include the T-Dawg Diet 2.0, a cheat sheets article on John Berardi’s diet info (like the one I did with Ian King), a new Stuff We Like, a new Dawg School or Refresher Course called “My First Diet” (dieting for newbies), a new Gut Check for the next paper issue, and a possible interview with Tudor Bompa.

Plus, this summer I’m traveling to Bangkok, Thailand to do some investigative reporting. This will be similar to my “Two Faces of Juarez” article.

Whew! Looks like a lot when I write it out like that!

Chirs,
Does T-mag need any help with articles? I have 35 years experience with lifting a degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Utah. Where I also taught weight lifting and developed one the the first weight lifting courses for women (1975). Served as an infantry Officer in the US Army, assigned to the Phyiscal Training Study group.
Anyway, who should I contact?
Thanks,
Older Lifter

Wow Chris! They all sound good!I think the John Berardi cheet sheets would be a must for a paper t-mag,and the Tudor Bompa would be a good interview. Please keep us updated!

Wow, I am definately interested in The Microcurrent Revolution. If it doesn’t get approved, can it be posted on the forum?

Older Lifter - If you mean with editing, no, TC and I have that covered. If you mean contributing, sure, we’re always open to new writers. Just submit an article to TC.

Reeshdawg - I’m pretty sure that one will get published. If not, remind me and I’ll send it to you in an e-mail.

Chris, I have to give you props for the gut check in the paper mag that just came out. It was exceptionally well done, and when I finished it, all I could say was: “wow.”

Y’know, nephorm, I almost posted that exact thing in this thread a few minutes ago. I was awestruck by that gut check. When I put it down I thought to myself, ‘Wow, I never thought he could have topped the Merry Chrismas, Bob article’. Awesome work, Chris.

I really want to see the interview with Tudor Bompa as well as Berardis cheat sheets. Also what about Meltdown 2.0? And ya that Gut Check was amazing! I made my little brother read it.

Wow, Chris…great stuff!

Hey…a LOT of people use the “T-Dawg” and “Fat Fast” on this site. Maybe the “T-Dawg 2.0” could be put on the front burners? Just a thought…I enjoy all your articles too! Mufasa

Nephorm, Travis, Scoobi - Thanks, guys. That Gut Check wasn’t easy to write. Glad to hear it made an impact.

John is looking over the cheat sheets-style summary article now so it should be published soon at T-mag; I’d guess within a couple of weeks.

Mufasa- I agree. I’ll see if I can bump it up the list. Brock is putting together a new Fat Fast too. This one in mainly geared towards women, but he’s getting amazing results with his “lab wabbits”.

A Fat Fast geared toward women? This should be interesting - what if you’re a woman who’s already lean, but needs to get leaner for a contest? Like 11% to 6%? I’ve read the current Fat Fast and I know that might be a little extreme for even me. Anywhoos, the Psychology on Big (or the Zen of Big?) sounds VEWY interesting. Oh and BTW: I’ve translated one of your articles into both Elmer Fudd and Jive speak - very funny. I wonder if you’d be interested in seeing those?

Patricia - I’m not sure of the details yet on Brock’s new plan, but right now he’s helping one obese women slim down to T-Vixen size and it’s working very well. Keto diets have always been good for those who are already lean and just wanting to get leaner short term (contest, etc), so it may work for you. I’ll tell you though that I’ve worked with a few different women who wanted to try the Fat Fast and all have failed, at least with the original plan. Brock seems to be having a lot of success with the new plan however.

My articles in Jive and Fudd? Sure, why not. Shoot it to me at cs@t-mag.com.

I agree. That Gut Check was amazing! Best one I’ve read.

Chris, are you still planning the Stout interview?

Wow. This is an old thread! I’ve already written and published almost everything talked about here. The Stout interview is finished and was sent to TC’s desk months ago, but it hasn’t been published yet.

chris will The Psychology of Big be printed I’m very interested in topics like that estoric practices,mediation,hypnotism,mind-body connection
