new alessi article

it’s summer, but he has a shirt on now.

Amazing.

Adam, I don’t think the article is about what Don Alessi looks like with a shirt off. I think it’s a GREAT article on how to improve your calves.

Why does having his shirt off make the article better or worse? Are you suggesting that he somehow doesn’t walk the walk? Don Alessi has contributed so much of value to his clients and those of us on T-Mag that I wouldn’t give a flip WHAT he looked like.

I would not questions DON about having a shirt on he is one guy who now his shit about
training. Follow his advice and you my learn
a thing or two.

I think he ment it’s a bit hot for a shirt. Or maybe in everyother article he has his shirt off and now that it’s summer he’s wearing a shirt???

If you’ve got, flaunt it.

If you don’t, pretend.

Tampa, I think he’s joking around because there’s been discussion here before how Alessi always has his shirt off in his article photos.

maybe Don read the posts about how people question his intent on not wearing a shirt? So, out of modesty or to show his modesty he decided that from now on he’ll cover up?

Or he’s on a bulking cycle, or let loose for a bit and added some unwanted pounds.

Funny though…

Loopfit, good point. I’ll keep an open mind. I appreciate your giving Adam the benefit of the doubt since he hasn’t had an opportunity to clarify his positon.

It’s a shame, though, that we’re discussing why Don’s wearing a shirt instead of the subtleties and nuances of the exercises in the article.

Loop is right, there was a thread a while ago re the sans shirt photos, mind you if you look in the third pic you can see he has no shirt on, I guess old habits die hard

At least he’s wearing pants…

Diamonds in the Rough.

You guys are just hatin’ because you don’t have snazzy purple shirt like Don.

Damn that thing is sweet.

i think adam is refering to a picture don had in a past reader’s mail. It was of Don outside without a shirt on standing next to a snowman, clearly in the middle of winter.

Don should only train in cupcake shirts.

Now that’s funny.

I can’t believe the lack of humour some people here have. I slip on a banana peel and I laugh at myself. Ha ha ha. Don’s finally put a shirt on now that it’s summer. In the winter he wears no shirt. Seems funny to me, especially since we’ve joked about this before. Perhaps this whould be in Off Topic, though.

Is there an extra photo between the Seated Heel Raises and the Stabilizer Drop Sets?

In “drop sets” aren’t you supposed to go to failure and then drop the weight for another series of reps? If this is correct then why is he saying 2 sets of 10-12 reps?

Also, what does it mean to “push concentrically”?

Thanks, Rene’

Sorry I forgot,

If I can’t do the 45-degree leg press heel raises at my gym, what can I use as a substitute? Standing raises?

Thanks, Rene’
