Never Strong Enough.............

Yeah i did that on deads earlier this week with the red minis and the orange minis, but the black ones are much wider. Don’t know how that would work out. Will try that with the black minis next week for a couple of feeler sets and see how it goes.

Oh ok…I thought you were talking about the actual monster minis, which are black, I didn’t no you meant the short strong bands. That might not be feasible since they’re so wide…micro minis, minis, and monster minis are all thing enough to do it bet the light, average, and strong bands might be too wide like you said.

Doing the WSBB thing eh? Sounds cool

Thanks for stoppin by trav.

Yeah, it appeals to me in that the program as a whole goes after all the goals that i want to achieve. In reading the westside barbell book of methods it does talk about not only focusing on strength, but getting bigger, faster, quicker and in good condition as well. Basically alot of different techniques are utilized.

Yeah i should’ve specified it better. I do/will have several sets of the red minis, so i could try mixing and matching different ones and see how that goes as well. I could also try mimicking the jump platform setup with the longer bands with 2 dumbells on each side and see how that works as also.

Yeah it’s a fairly comprehensive training methodology, actually the first time I found this site was because I was reading the Periodization Bible on the subject and learning about that kind of training.

Anyways it’ll be interesting to watch how you apply the ideas!

Bench and squat training:DE day

Box squats with black bands(just above parallel):bar5,1353,2252,2252,2252,2252 I tried to get a video of my form, but all i got was a video of my gluteus maximus, so i deleted it.

Bench with orange minis:bar5,1353,1552,1552,1752(vid),1752,bar*10

Done, my schedule changed/is going to change allowing me to do the proper split starting next week. I am going to do some accessory work for bench tomorow, max effort deads thurs and possibly max effort squats friday and max effort bench saturday. Maybe combine the squats and bench.

175 with orange minis.

yay new schedule!!

Well i’ll be, sonofagun my video didn’t go through. Attempt number 2.

Always wanted to try bands out

Do it man, they’re fun and addicting! I’m waiting for EFS to have another “Free Shipping” sale so I can pick up a couple more and not have to pay 2x the band price to ship it here.

Agreed, i’ll try to let ya’ll know when they are having a sale if you want.

Trav not only are they fun, they also give you more variety of exercises to work with as well.

Yo.

Whats up DF, thanks for stoppin by man.

Accessory/recovery stuff:

Floor press:13510,1353,2253,2757(vid)225*3(paused) These felt pretty easy, definitely had at least 5 more in me for the peak set.

Db shoulder press:52.510,6510,75*10 Minimal rest and no lockout.

Combo db side and rear laterals:2015,15,2015,15,20*15,15

Cable pushdowns:8*15,15

Kneeling rope pushdowns:4*15,15

Done, felt a little lethargic, but that was probably due to the weather. Yesterday it was sunny and mid 50’s, today it’s snowing heavily and it’s completely overcast.

Floor press video.

Attempt number 2.

ME Training:

Deads:1553,1553,2651,3751,4851,5351(PR) (vid)

Db rows:7010,10010,120*10

Lat pulldowns:14510,20510,250*6

Done, very successful day and i’m already much stronger after switching to focusing exclusively on powerlifting.

Nice pull buddy

Damn, all you with your legit pulls.
