Its still my problem, but what has helped me is doing stiff leg deadlifts off of pins, box pulls, and sumo pulls to get my hips stronger.

Thanks Dixie, i was thinking about doing some rack pulls on leg days through the rest of the month. So i think i will try some stiffleg rack pulls and maybe some high rack pulls as well.

Some band dislocates, pullaparts, presses and pushdowns.
Done, things went well today. Bench was alot easier than i had anticipated, but incline bench was tougher than is should’ve been as well. There are still a little to be desired with regards to form, but not bad and i definitely felt the difference with a focus on leg drive. Kinda pops the weight off the chest.
Leg training:
Box squats to little stool(used little stool with 2 rubber mats on top initially)1355,1355,2253 took a mat off 2253 took the other mat off, 225*3
Stifflegs off pins at about knee height:1355,2253,3153,4053
Front squats:1353 then held for 20 secs, 2251 then held for 10 secs, then front squat hold 315*15 secs
Superset leg press:20010,60010,800*10
And seated HS leg curl:4510,9010,135*10
Foam rolled and stretched.
done, i did everything beltless today. I also did the box squats really wide, almost touching side of cage.

Accessory day:I did not want to do much today. I was really tired, but i knew if i got some blood flowing that i would feel better. Sure enough i felt a bit better.

2-SCOOPS (from 2 Scoops training log) suggested I do some rack pulls to help fix my effed up DL. I am kinda excited about this since I always really liked rack pulls.
I am kinda short though so most of the squat racks with the pins set on the bottom will still place the bar above my knees, Lol.
I am going to keep you posted on my rack pulling because I like keeping you posted about things.

Deads:1355,1353,2252,3151,3651,4151,4651(vid) these all felt pretty good. 5150 stripped the other plate that fell off 4650 didn’t quite lockout(is edited out of video, was done right after 515 attempt). 465+chains0 I must be dumb because i set up the chains in the middle, chains hit me on way up and stopped bar. 415+chains*1
Speed deads:225*2 Then i did half range motion, lifted up, then on way down stopped just below knees and reversed, 5, same5
pendelay rows:2255,2255,225*5
Pulldowns:10015,15015,150*15
Tire flips:4flips down and back 8 total. Jumped on tire on first 4 down, but was barely making it on tire due to fatique so no more jumps after) another set down and back 4 flips one way, and one more set like second set down and back.

done, so i really tried to get as tight as possible, but still have some things to work on as evidenced by not pulling slack out of bar. Feels really good on lighter sets, but at heavier weights i still have alot of trouble locking it out. Probably time for a deload or i need to build more lockout strength. Since i am doing the meet on the 31st i am going to do something different next week, maybe speed pulls, or a speed pull weight and increase band tension. Then the following week i will work up to my opener which i think will be around mid 400’s to be safe and then see how i feel and take things from there.

@spock i’m sure you know exactly how i feel. I’ve tried time and again to get the damn lift in. But through varying ways i haven’t been able to lock it out.

@dixie, i started out trying to peak for my meet on the 31st. But it seems like i ran into a fucking wall with anything above 475 or so. I don’t understand why i’m failing weights i was able to double and almost triple. So i kept trying.
I appreciate the comments, even if they’re the tough love variety so to speak.
So what i thought i would do next week(18th) is speed work at roughly half what i attempted today. Then the next week(25th) i’m going to hit something around 400, that is also one week before the meet i’m entered in. I’m going to make certain that it is fast and as explosive as possible. For the meet i will start a lot lower than i wanted and see how i feel and go from there.
What do you all think? Gotta change something because what i’ve been doing hasn’t been working.

Done, i just felt off today. My back felt sore and i had a hard time setting up and maintaining tightness like i did last week. I had to jump in with 3 guys to get my benching in. Rant Warning Why is it that i go for 9 weeks or so and never have a problem getting a bench working out at same time every monday and all of a sudden when it’s most important that i have a bench available that everyone else suddenly needs to bench the same time i do. Mother######!!! I don’t get it. /rant.
