Neurotype 1B and Neural Charge before sleep?

I am neurotype 1B. Last night while watching tiktok and seeing a video that made me excited, I did Neural Charge exercises, speed exercise for about 10-15 minutes and then my body became relaxed and slept well. This makes me feel strange, because people often advise against intense workouts before bed. Can someone explain this in terms of hormones and neurotransmitters?

Last night the same thing happened again. But instead of feeling excited, I felt angry then practiced Neural Charge and relaxed and slept well. And that was my 3rd Neural Charge session of the day lol. Is anyone else type 1B and having similar experiences? I feel like I only receive the positive effects of Neural Charge without any negative effects. I practice Neural charge 1-3 times/day and 6-7 days/week

I’m honestly somewhat at a loss to explain this. My only explanation is that you have a very fast COMT enzyme, which breaks down adrenaline super fast (I’m kinda like that, when I train I do feel relaxed afterwards).

So what could be happening is that you get the positives from the neural charge session (e.g. increase in dopamine and adrenaline) but adrenaline breaks down as soon as you are done, so you are left relaxed but ā€œsatisfiedā€ (because of the dopamine boost)… kinda like after sex, if that makes sense.

EDIT: After more research (the subject interests me) I found several things that could explain it.

  • Following a plyometric session, prolactin goes up. Prolactin is what relaxes you after sex (Ozen S. REPRODUCTIVE HORMONES AND CORTISOL RESPONSES TO PLYOMETRIC TRAINING IN MALES. Biology of Sport. 2012;29(3):193-197.)

  • Following a plyometric session, testosterone goes up.

Basically you end up with higher testosterone, a dopamine boost and higher prolactin which would correlate with more well-being could facilitate sleep in some people, specifically those who can get rid of adrenaline rapidly.

Those studies looked at plyometric training. Neural charge includes some plyo but is not all plyo, but I suspect that all explosive activities are the same.

Thank you for your answer. The opposite happens when I do lactic exercise. I never understood why I suffered such great negative effects from doing lactic acid exercises until I read your articles.
