Need Your Thoughts and Prayers

Great work - an example of a T-Man in action.

Good luck to Josh & hopefully a speedy recovery.

Well done Renton.

My thoughts are for Josh and his family

+1

Good job brother.
prayin for josh.

Budu Saranai.

No news yet I’m afraid other than he’s still in the ICU - still touch and go I’m afraid.

I passed all the well wishes on to his family earlier today. Believe me it was a touching moment.

To pick on just a couple of comments in this whole host of positive thoughts…

Ryan - Yeah I know what you mean - After the incident there are always a million thoughts of how it could have been handled better, but better to handle it with some degree of skill rather than walk on by.

I like to think that most people wouldn’t walk past. Sadly they do when it comes down to it. I also know that most people here would just get on with it like I did.

Print, Sen, Vader and everybody else - your posts have made a difference. Thank you.

Bushy - Given your day today, sheesh bro, after all that and you can still make a post of well wishes. I only wish the law would take character into account at the level at which some people deserve.

Update:

Well - I guess something worked.

A quick response from me, the paramedics being on the ball, all the well wishes and prayers here, a whole lot of luck…

Whichever.

The important thing is, Josh got out of hospital yesterday.

His little sister Ashley came running up to me earlier as I was working on my car and said “Are you the man that saved Josh’s life?” - It wasn’t what she said as such, just the fact that from those few words I knew he’d made it.

She’s only seven years old so details were sketchy and largely down to the fact that her Grandad bought her chocolate when they went to visit Josh in hospital.

I spent about half an hour chatting with her and must have had an insane grin on my face all the while. She didn’t care - the chocolate saga took a good twenty minutes. She ran off to make a birthday card for my second daughter Meghan who will also be seven tomorrow.

Phew! Thanks guys.

Not many people can say about themselves that they’ve saved someone else’s life. You’re a good man Renton.

Wonderful.

Thank goodness you were there.

Cheers mate but I just step in when needed. In my eyes I really did nothing special - Just what I hope anybody else would have done if caught up in a similar situation.

I’ve had my life saved on several occasions and much as I am eternally grateful to the people who helped me I can see why they kind of shrugged it off as just one of those things.

It’s just the done thing - nothing more. Help those that need it.

Maybe the kid will grow up to be the one that cures cancer or something. I hope so.

I got my legal people on it already.

You must have felt pretty good hearing that.

As an aside, Happy Birthday to your daughter (for tomorrow).

Make sure you slice up her bedroom curtains as payback.

Lol - cheers mate, I’ll pass that on. Meghan would kick my ass if I sliced up her Disney Princess cutains though - it was the evilness that is called Emily (3) that did my curtains.

I made a cake for Meg’s birthday this evening and actually caught Emily attempting to carry it off. When questioned about what she was up to she just said “Nothing daddy - now go away” and proceeded upstairs with the cake in her thieving little mits.

She was most miffed when I told her to put it back.

Dude. :expressionless: Emily sounds much like my daughter. And they’re the same age. We must pray they never meet – they would conquer the world.

That’s awesome news, Renton!!

Like everyone said, you’re a good and decent human being.

I’m sure you’re relieved, eh?

Alright!
glad the little guy is doing better!

Never doubt yourself renton. Everyone else did nothing, you took action and assisted in his chances of recovery then and later. I for one am proud to know you.
