Need Supplement Advice

Hi! I am a 135lb female, 5’7" tall. I have been dieting for several years, and training seriously & using supplements for one year. I just finished my first bottle of HOT-ROX and a week into starting that I added Se7en.

Other vitamins/supplements I take include: Fish oil (6 1200mg caps a day), multi, B-complex, biotin, cinnamon, chromium, probiotics, papaya w/ digestive enzymes, lychee/antioxidant blend. I follow a low carb, high protein diet. (Low carb = less than 60g/day, high protein = more than 85g/day).

My main goal is fat loss. I would like to decrease my body fat and dress size even further (I have lost 60lbs total since 2008), and while muscle building is a goal of mine, I do not want to look “huge” by any means.

That being said, I have gained about 4 lbs since I started taking Se7en, although my waist size has decreased a bit, so I’m assuming it is muscle. Is Indigo something that would help me, or will that just cause more muscle gain? Can that be taken with a fat burner/stimulant? Should I take a break from HOT-ROX and/or Se7en at any point? Can all of these be taken together or should I cycle/alternate them? Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

they recommend Indigo with a high carb diet. just a heads up.

85g= high protein? even at your BW and BF% I’d be shooting for close to 130g protein per day.

Supplementation looks decent.

Not that it would provide instant results, but any coconut oil in your diet?

what’s a typical day diet wise look like?

BTW- if you’re clothes are fitting better screw the scale. Use pictures and/or the mirror if the scale weight is going to deter you.

Yeah, the scale is frustrating, but my weight has always fluctuated a lot (up 6 lbs one day, down 5 the next, up 2, down 4), so I try not to weigh myself too regularly.

85g of protein isn’t really “high”, but that’s like a bare minimum daily intake. I do aim much high than that (I know its common to strive to eat your body weight in grams of protein), but I force myself to consume at least that much. I use the Biotest Metabolic Drive for my post workout recovery, etc.

I don’t use any coconut oil but I have read up on the medium chain triglycerides found in coconut oil being helpful for fat loss… Do you add this in your diet? If so, how?

A normal day consists of small meals of foods like: 1/2c lowfat cottage cheese, 5oz plain greek yogurt, eggs/egg whites, tuna, chicken, raw veggies (cucumbers, peppers, lettuce spinach), 1/2 oz. almonds, low carb protein bar, Metabolic Drive protein powder. I will occasionally eat citrus fruit or berries. I measure pretty much everything I eat.

Also, I have hormone imbalances too (high cortisol, problems with estrogen/progesterone balance)…which is also a contributing factor to my body’s desire to be chubbier than I’d like!

No need for supplement advice, have you checked out carb nite?

if you have high cortisol, look into some rhodiola.

I would suggest correcting these then through lifestyle modificatsions, diet, exercise, sleep, etc.

You may want to check out www.fatisnotyourfault.com as Dr. Bryan Walsh (yeah I know the title sounds corny/fake) knows his stuff. He walks you through the different systems of the body, what to look for in testing and how to correct.

You can add in coconut oil in a variety of ways, use it to cook foods, like eggs, veggies, fry almonds in it, or you can add in into protein shakes if need be. It is definitely a great oil to cook just about anything with, over butter.

Do you ever just actually eat fresh/dried coconut? I once tried these organic “cocochia” bars - they were coconut and chia seeds. I add chia to my protein shakes now for the fiber and omegas.

I still am not sure about what supplements I can take together and if Indigo is something that’d be worth trying. I mean, its pricey, but I’ve spent more on shoes, so if it can help me, I’d order it…

I know of people who will put it on things like bread as a butter substitute but i’ve never really ate it straight out of the jar lol. With coconut oil it will become liquid at below 72deg or so, solid at above those temps.

As far as what supplements, no supplement is ever necessary but they can make things easier. For someone just starting out staples would be, protein powder(like Metabolic Drive) and fish oil, both are great starting points.

From the one picture you posted, you aren’t some glob of blubber or something, it sounds like the key for you is to be sure your diet is clean and you’re consistent with not only that, but getting in the gym and doing something on a consistent and frequent basis. Although Indigo-3G is a great product in my opinion, it shouldn’t be used as a crutch to get what you want to achieve body wise, just simply taking it won’t get you where you want to be, the work still needs to be put in, which goes for any supplement, steroid, etc.

Whey protein like GROW! would be better post workout as it only has whey and therefore will be more quickly absorbed. Metabolic Drive is better for a snack or at night as it contain whey and casein (which is the slower absorbed protein).

The max HOT-ROX cycle should be 8 weeks on followed by at least 2-4 off. Do you take the full dose? And do you use the full dose of Se7en?

Ditch the scale you can weigh yourself everyday if you want but pick one day of the week to be your base day. Pictures and measurements are much more important, so be sure and do that to keep progress.

EAT MORE PROTEIN.
