Nice, man.
Theese are my favorite training metal groups. Except Opeth, (I’m suprised you heard for them) whic demands a greather level of concentration.
I was on their concert, it was in Treviso, Italy.
I also saw Children of Bodom in Wiena, Austria.
Oh boy my favorite topic. Ok let’s see:
Metallica
Motorhead
Megadeath
Anthrax
Living Colour
Tool
A Perfect Circle
Pantera
311
Led Zeppelin (a must)
Linkin Park
STP (Core specifically)
Deftones
There are others, but these are the ones that get me “high” and really pumped. Check them out.
Deftones – Adrenaline
Downset! – Do We Speak a Dead Language
Check Your People
Misfits – Static Age
Rollins Band – Weight
Get Some, Go Again
End of Silence
Bad Religion – (anything off of Epitath records)

Helmet – Meantime
System of a Down – (any album)
It’s like a customized radio station…it gives you the actual songs of other artists that match say disturbed for instance.
Uber-kewl.
You said Rock music…I wouldn’t put many of these bands in the rock music category. If you don’t like it, then you can tell them and they’ll hone your interests down, not to mention you actually get to hear the songs…so that’s wicked…oh and it’s free!
BTW…regarding the In Flames comment, about nothign after Reroute to Remain…I totally disagree…the new disc will tear your head off!
Disturbed
Godsmack
KISS - War Machine
Linkin Park
My Chemical Romance - Helena
Puddle of Mudd - Control
Quiet Riot - Bang Your Head (80s fan-sry)
Rage Against the Machine
Pantera
Staind

Linkin Park
Black Crows
Fabulous Thunderbirds

All of those are excellent choices!
Steve Earle - one hell of a songwriter
Kenny Wayne Shephard - saw him in concert with ZZ-Top. Great show!
I can’t believe that with all the hardcore/metal/metalcore bands mentioned nobody has mentioned CHIMAIRA!!
I go to the gym, and just put Hatebreed albums and 2 Chimaira albums on repeat, that’s all you need really.
For ME squat days, check out Crowbar… they are from that same school as Pantera/Down/COC/Eyehategod, etc. Realllly slow, but cool riffing and it sounds like taking an excrutiatingly long dump.

You saw Bodom live too?Man,my friend broke his arm in the mosh at one of their shows. They’re great live.
I’ve only seen it mentioned on here a couple of times, but I strongly recommend Mudvayne. Also Slipknot, Nickelback, and the first Audioslave. If you dont need something quite as intense Green Day, Seether, and NIN are nice. SOAD is extremely reliable; I think Toxicity may be the best workout album ever (length, songlist)
