Need a Little Help With Supps

Hey, I finally put my head on right and have decided to go ahead and up my dosage of working out. Hell yeah! I’m pumped.

But, before I go ahead and do any of this I need help and some questions answered, so here it goes.

1st) I have been taking Cytosport’s Musclemilk as my post-workout meal. Now the question is, is this a good post-workout meal, and should I take it also how it says on the tub? (Before bed, and during the workout ON-TOP of taking it after as a post workout meal)

2nd) I just recently bought XYIENCE NOX-CG3 (Thus the whole, “upping my workout”) I want to know, how should I take this?

Some people tell me, take it every day ! Hell go ahead. But I’m a young guy, and I was advised not to take it so often, so this is the question: Would once every two weeks (Monday one time, Tuesday the other 2 weeks, so basically 2weeks and 1 day) be enough for my body not to get, bluntly said “addicted” to it, but allow me to control my natural state? (please correct me if I’m wrong on the whole “addicted” part…)

3rd) About everyday I workout (With the acception of sometimes wednesday I take off, I replace that with a saturday workout, sundays always off) I have time around 6:45-7:00 to 10:00 of nothing. Now I could fit a good workout in there because from 12:00-12:30 I take a good 3 hour break to do my schooling before I do my workout at 3:30-4 pm. So I’m curious about this: Would this second workout HELP in my adventure to bulk up and burn fat, if so… should I take post-workout meals?

Thats all for my curious mind,

Kudos.

Colton

You shouldn’t be doing two-a-day workouts as a beginner. Wait a while (a couple years maybe).

Muscle Milk isn’t really a good choice for a PWO shake. Surge is great (sold on this site), or any whey isolate/maltodextrin shake. There are a few sites that will customize protein mixes for you for pretty cheap.

You wasted your money on the NO product. Sell it to a gullible friend if you can’t return it to the store. Get some creatine instead (you can’t beat the price and quality of Biotest creatine, sold on this website).

I don’t have a big problem with NO products. They get bashed here because of one article, but many people report good results. It’s up to you to try and see what you get.

My issue is buying a supp that you don’t know how to use. Did you do no investigation first? Did you read the bottle? What does your age have to do with a NO product?

MuscleMilk would be a good product 1-2 hours before your workout or b/4 bed. I would not say it’s a great PWO drink.

You should always have a good PWO. Life isn’t perfect, but if you can do it-do it. A good 2-1c:p is great. But if you’re on the road, a good turkey sandwhich is better than nothing. Choc. milk–whatever.

And lastly–“bulk up and burn fat”–oh my.

Ok so buy yourself some Surge from here or Optimum Nutrition’s 100% whey etc for PWO and mix it with Gatorade or juice. I also reccomend a multi and fish oils (i.e. Flameout). Biotest, Optimum Nutrition, EAS…all pretty good companies. Creatine and ZMA if you can afford them.

Remember, get your nutrition in order. These are ‘supplements’ and hence they ‘supplement’ your diet, they do not comprise the majority of your foods. BCAAs are a good idea too.

NOxplode is overly priced. If you want an NO supplement, get Xpand from Dymatize Nurtition. But, next time, that 60 or 80 bucks you dropped would be better spent on creatine and ZMA and fish oil or better yet, Surge. The Metabolic Drive and Flameout and what-not here are expensive, but always get good reviews. If you’re hard-up, just do what I do and buy ON stuff.
