That eye poke deserves a suspension.

Was it an eye poke or was it a point that went through the face mask? They kept calling it an “eye poke” but I couldn’t see anything where he actually poked him.

It was uncalled for.

This was a joke right? Ofcourse he was trying to poke him in the eye, theres no other reason you would do that. He probubly deserves a suspension or to at least have gotten thrown out of that game but what ever.

Really? You’ve never poked someone in the middle of the forehead?

It tends to piss people off very quickly. To assume it was intended to be an eye poke is absolutely ridiculous.[/quote]

Well I think if you watched the game you could see him poke him in the eye but I mean really, are we fucking argueing over whether he was aiming for the eye or the forehead? He stuck his fingure into the guys face mask, he was trying to poke him in the eye. He didnt so its not a big deal and I’m not very upset with it and I dont think its going to be a very big deal…

The player who did the poking was nose Vince Wilfork and yeah I agree it was completely uncalled for. I’m not going to speculate whether he was going for the eye or the forehead, but either way he does deserve some kind of league discipline depending on what it was.

Let me just say that last night, my Giants PROVED that they can run with the best of them. It was like watching Rocky I.

All it is is heart. Those motherfuckers haven’t played with heart all year, and that’s why they sucked. If they played like that, balls to the wall, every game, they’d be 14-2 right now.

They have all the talent, and I hope they proved something to themselves last night.

Oh, and fuck that motherbitch Bill Belichek, he pays off the refs, I’m convinced.

And fuck Eli. Christ, learn to play the damn game or go home.

And by the way, I think the game was fixed. Let me just throw that out there.

I have felt that about quite a few Patriots games over the years. I cannot really figure out why but they have benefited from so many wrong calls over the years.

They do have the talent thats why its so pathetic that they dont do better. With the weapons they have they should be a much better team(not that 10-6 and making the playoffs again is that bad). I dont know if its the coaching but I think its time for a change. COWER COME TO NY, WE LOVE YOU.

Again wtf is with this Eli crap. Again you could say that about most of the games he played this season but not last nights game.

Before the game I was hoping they would sit burress and play their starters for the first half and only keep them in if they were in the game. Was I wrong I’m glad they played everyone and played their fucking hearts out, keep this momentum up and maybe they’ll make it past the first round.

I’m obviously a giants fan and I dont think it was rigged I mean the calls werent that bad last night. Baltimores game and some of the other games, thats a different story.

Care to elaborate? Either of you? Give me one call from that game that was obviously incorrect. Just one.

Now watch the Pats-Colts game again…really watch it, and tell me there weren’t at least 6-7 BULLSHIT calls going against the Pats. You didn’t see a single player mention the officiating, they went about their business, won the game and prepared for next week.

That was the only game this season where there was a collection of bad calls going for/against one team all game, and they were all against the Patriots.

Just because you dislike the team, don’t delude yourself into thinking something like fixed games and compromised officiating has any play in their perfect season. Because that’s nothing but cry-baby bullshit from crappy fans.

Re: Brady…look at his number from last season, then look at his receiving corp. Then realize that there wasn’t a single Pro Bowler on that offense last season, and the entire receiving corp. was made up of #3 receivers and bench players. Wanna look at another QB? Manning, who has a Pro Bowl receiver (Wayne) on his team–and has had Wayne for 5 seasons and Harrison for 9–looks a bit human this year, now that he only has one Pro Bowler at the position. Imagine if he lost Wayne and had to deal with the type of receiving corp that Brady had last year? And yet Brady still put up these numbers (remember, again, his receivers were Caldwell, an aging Troy Brown, and Doug Gabriel): 3529 yards, 24 TDs, 12 INT, 87.9 rating…good for the 7th in yards, 4th in TDs, and 9th in QB rating despite ZERO good receivers on the team.

Envy and jealousy are ugly traits, guys, they really are.

Coughlin is garbage.

The sooner they dump that pompous dumbass the better we’ll be.

Sure I can. The game’s on the line- don’t throw a pic. Statistically, he was OK, I’ll give you that. However, when it comes down to the end, you know he’ll fold. That last TD was too little, too late. He is not worth all we gave up for him, he’s a second rate QB who will always be known as the biggest flop since… well, who knows. Ryan Leaf comes to mind…

I am truly disgusted with them (last night aside). All year they come out and lay down, they back their way into 10-6 because the NFC is so fucking pathetic, and then they wonder why no one will go to the games.

Well you motherwhoring fuckheads, play like you want to win the damn game once in a while instead of going through the motions. I will not blow all that money to watch you lose to the fuckin Vikings.

If they were in the AFC they’d be lucky to win 7 games this year. I love the Giants, but I respect a team like the Jets or the Jaguars way more. There is no grit in East Rutherford nowadays…

And that confused little boy look that Eli always has makes me want to puke. What a fuckin bust.

God i hate people from Mass. I dont think any game was fixed but I understand where people are coming from. EVERY game the pats play they get calls going their way that change the game. I dont think its fixed because the pats always get these fucking BS calls (before this season too) and I dont think every season is a fixed thing. You can’t say they dont get calls that are at least very ify at best. Did you fucking watch the Baltimore game? Did you really?

I can’t pick out plays man, and I’m not going back and watchin the fuckin mess again.

However, every time I watch them, it just seems like calls go their way every fuckin time. A holding penalty at the right time that brings back a big run, a pass interference call…

I don’t hate the Pats. If anything, I have a kinship with most of their fans because I’m a Bosox fan. However, I think Belichek is scum, and I don’t like the arrogance he surrounds that franchise in.

There’s no envy and jealousy… just tired of seeing that cocksuckin turncoat reap rewards.

This is why I love NY and NYers we’re all fans but WE FUCKING HATE OUR TEAMS.

I give more credit to Eli then most I think. I think once he gets good coaching and a offense he can play in he will be good. Look at how he played at Ole Miss…And yea he threw a pic but he still came back got his team down the field and got a touchdown yea it took time and a little longer then some of the better quartbacks (or offenses, dont blame everything on him) would have taken and they were in the game all they needed was that onside kick.

Nothing in the Giamts game but countless bad calls have gone the Patriots way. If you don’t see it you are blinded.

THEN GIVE ME ONE!!! I could give you a half dozen from the Colts game:

  1. Moorman’s non-catch on the sidelines, first play for Indy. Clearly didn’t catch the ball inbounds (and two refs were right there), but they gave it to him and the Pats had to use a challenge to get it reversed.
  2. PI call on Samuel - ridiculous call, and gave the Colts a first down inside the 5.
  3. PI call on Hobbs - this one was worse, he was basically tackled by Wayne and yet he got penalized. Again, first down inside the 5 for the Colts
  4. Offensive PI on Moss - absolutely ridiculous because when watching the replay he didn’t even touch the Colts player.
  5. No call on Faulk - he got absolutely tackled before the ball got there, there’s no question whatsoever about it.
  6. Giving the Colts 2 yards when they were on their 20 and it was 2nd down. The officials basically gave them 2 yards–then didn’t even measure, just gave them the first down. Again, watch this game…and specifically this play. No one mentioned it, but it’s in there and was the most egregious bullshit call in the game.

Now: give me one. I’ve watched the game twice now. There are always close calls both ways every game, that’s gonna happen. But you’re saying the Pats were basically given yards through penalties and bullshit calls, and that just didn’t happen.

Re: the Ravens game- sorry, guys, but those calls were ALL legit. First was a timeout. Second was a false start (and yes, he did move…again, I watch all these game a few times). Third was PI in the end zone. They called the wrong defensive number, but the PI was clear and if it WASN’T called it would have been bullshit. Final was the TD call…they had to have convincing evidence that he didn’t have control, and he was clearly pulling it into his body when he took his last step. Even if this didn’t happen it would have been 3rd down from the 1.

Who’s to say he’s going to get away with it? They’ll certainly levy a fine, and might even suspend him.

And before you call Wilfork out, remember that we weren’t shown the entire play–that’s all on the NFLN, and the NFL in general. They refuse to show on-field skirmishes, and and that’s all well and good. But without the video from the entire incident you have no idea what was done/said.

And yes, I think Wilfork was in the wrong no matter what was done (if anything) to provoke him, and should be penalized accordingly. But without all the facts it’s impossible to know what the hell was going on there.

Hold on…arrogance surround the Patriots franchise? I’m sorry, but I don’t get this. Hate Belichick, that’s fine and I think he actually likes it that way (takes some of the heat off the players), but don’t call out the franchise. How many times do you see Patriots players running their mouths? How many times do you see on-field displays of arrogance from this team? This is a cohesive, well-coached, humble team (in fact, their motto this team is ‘eating humble pie’–they even had t-shirts made up about 2 months ago). Sorry, but this team is anything but arrogant.

Penalized accordingly doesn’t help the day after. What’s done is done, they fucked up.
