I wouldn’t call it a “fix” per se, but the refs are going to make it damn difficult on SA. Let’s just say they are going to negate the home-court advantage. Pretty sure it’s going 7, although I think you will some terrible calls in game 6 if the Heat are up 3-2 with a chance to win it at home.

It is abundantly clear that the NBA is doing their best to ensure James gets a 3-peat so he can be up there with Jordan and Bryant. The league is a fucking joke.[/quote]
I’ve gotta say, I’m not so sure the fix is in for another Spurs loss in the Finals.
Also interesting that the good ole 2-3-2 format is gone, its def been awhile on that.

Don’t like the 2-3-2. If you got the advantage and you split the first two, your screwed.
you would think by now the NBA would want the spurs to win. That whole group is clean cut, and the epitome of what a team is all about.
but you know superstars and ratings and entertainment is really what he nba is about.
Predictions for the Finals?
I think the sexy choice this go around is definitely SAS…

I think the better team is SAS, but Mia has the two best players with LBJ and Wade.
Miami in 7.
The Spurs should do exactly what they did to OKC with no ibaka, only this time there is no ibaka to come back from injury.
fuck the heat
I like the Spurs in 6.
Everyone likes to talk about how they are too old, but they are ageless. The style of play from Duncan and Parker works very will given their ages. I think a year older hurts Miami (Wade) more. Plus the Spurs have to young guys that contribute that now have another year of experience. Of course this assuming Parker is good to go like they say.
It won’t be easy Lebron is amazing and the Heat are the defending champions.
Being from the old school, I def enjoyed Magic’s postgame twitter post:
“The Spurs & Heat fans thought that was hot, '84 we played 4 games, '85, 3 games & '87 , 3 games in the Boston Garden with those same temps!”
Have to lol at the temperature debates. In Australia we play in 120+ during the summer period week in and week out , no A/C and hot northerly winds blowing through the side doors. Games only get called off when the thermometer maxes out at 130.
Is San Antonio an extremely humid location?

San Antone is pretty damn humid. It’s on the outskirts of what’s considered Texas hill country so it’s not as humid as Houston, but days of around 100 degrees at 90% humidity aren’t uncommon in the summer.
Game 2 tonight. Heat pull even? Or Spurs up 2 - 0?
If Duncan keeps putting up 20 and 10 while going 9 for 10 (90%!!!) from field the Spurs will be very tough. Duncan along with Manu producing of the bench and role players like Danny Green producing down the stretch. That’s why I like the Spurs again.
I do expect LBJ to be in the game for the final 2 minutes tonight, we will see what effect that has.
fuck you NBA for starting these games so late (9pm est). With the extra commercials i can maybe stay awake til the half.
Or fuck my life for living in the east.
Spurs win tonight

SA isn’t shooting 14-16 FGs in the 4th quarter again.
Then again, they won’t have like 25 TO’s again either.

True. I expect the Spurs’ shooting percentage and turnovers as well as the temperature in the arena to all be lower tonight.
Wade should be suspended for that flop. That shit has nothing to do with basketball and taking 25k from a guy who makes $20 mil a year clearly isn’t deterring these dudes from doing it, so start taking games away. That shit is disgusting.

x2
dirtiest player in the league.
I was really hoping the basketball gods would make his knee give out, but the series isnt not over yet…
Gotta focus on the flop because LBJ’s game was flawless.

Well they did only win by 2pts…

And?
35pts on 14-22 shooting, 10 Reb, 3 assists, 2 steals and 4 T/O.
Pretty hard to do better than that. He also shut down Tony Parker in the 4th.

Yes, he had a good game, but in total the game was decided by 2 pts so the flop absolutely had an impact.
