NEWS: Al Harrington spurns DAL’s offer, signs with DEN

Is it just me, or does anyone else think Rondo has a broke J, especially for a PG?

It’s not really broken if he never had it to begin with.

In that respect, Rondo’s awfully similar to Ason Kidd - there’s never been a “j” there either

Wow, that’s fairly big news considering which FAs are even left.

I was just starting to get concerned about DAL, as I believe they’re still in the mix of finalists for Al Jeff too.

LeBron
Ilgauskas

What?!? The Heat are bigger? You’ve done lost your mind. Even your basic analysis sucks monkey balls.

Kobe - 6’7" 220
Gasol - 7’ 250
Bynum - 7’ 285
Artest - 6’7" 260
Fisher - 6’1" 210

Average starting five height: 6’8" weight: 245 lbs

Wade - 6’4" 210
Bosh - 6’10" 228
LeBron - 6’8" 240
Ilgauskas - 7’3" 260
Chalmers - 6’1" 190

Average starting five height: 6’7.5" weight: 225 lbs

Umm so. Once again, you’re an idiot. Reducing the impact of Ilgauskas’s size and weight (which skews Miami’s numbers up in height and weight) since he shoots jumpers from 20 feet out, doesn’t rebound, and doesn’t move well; and you have a Lakers team that is slight taller and definitely bigger, stronger, etc. Never mind the bench with a 6’10" Lamar Odom.

Again, your analysis is useless and sucks ass.
Okay this is getting ridiculous. Not only are you unnecessarily name calling but you’re skewing numbers. Kobe is 6’6 and probably 210-215. LeBron at 240lbs? Dude hes at least 260lbs…

If you want to talk athletic ability the Heat win. Bosh is more athletic than Gasol, no need for explanation on LeBron and Wade, and Chalmers vs. Fisher…yeah.

If you want to talk bench, the Heat have Haslem, sitting next to Mike Miller and possibly Juan Howard.

Maybe you need to take a deep breath and calm down?
I didn’t make these numbers up. Some of the weights are debatable give or take a little bit and are you actually arguing a fucking inch on Kobe like it makes a difference. You spewed some stupid shit that Miami is “bigger” than the Lakers and you got caught red fucking handed with your weak ass analysis you troll.

Now you are back pedaling and trying to say the Heat are more “athletic” now. Whatever dude. You’re a fucking idiot that adds no value to these threads whether your under that handle drewh, sardines, or dickhead.

LBJ is 250
Stop backpedaling bitch. The simple fact of the matter is the starting 5 of the Heat aren’t bigger than the Lakers. Especially when you consider fucking Frankenstein, aka Zadrunas, whose height, weight and athletic ability are non-existent for any fucking use. You just throw shit out there trying to sound smart but you’re just a little millenial bitch that hides behind different handles and doesn’t have the gonads to admit. You slithering snake.

Typical Drew. You get your ass handed to you (rightly so) again and you come up with these weak ass attacks. You’re such a little bitch.

Ha! Good point.

I just want to say that there is no way LeBron James is 260lbs. Everytime I hear about this guy he gets bigger and stronger. I heard one analyst last year say he was 270lbs. BULLSHIT. He came in the league at a shade under 240, and I’d say he’s around 250 or so now. Everyone talks about how “thick” he is, but he looks pretty damn wiry to me.

For reference, Jamal Mashburn was an inch shorter but went about 245 and he was significantly thicker than James. It drives me nuts that everything about James gets the big fish treatment.

Rand, you need to lay off the caffeine man.

Read an interview with Rondo in SLAM, and Jesus he’s cocky. He said he’s the best pg in the league amongst a shit ton of other nonsense. The thing is, a lot of his buckets and rebounds are a result of him “sneaking in” due to teams concentrating on other players. Once those guys [ Allen on the wing, Pierce at the top of the key extended, Garnett 17’ and in] aren’t around, all of those easy lay-ups and uncontested rebounds disappear. He’ll have to work a lot harder to get what he’s been getting, and with his J being such a liability teams will pretty much be able to keep him contained.

We’re from LA, this is what we do!

Stamping out T-Nation Trolls since 2001.

You go Boston!

http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/celtics-ray-allen-on-miami-were-still-the-better-team.php

The Boston Celtics are the defending Eastern Conference champions. Miami, if you want that crown you are going to have to fight them for it.

Ray Allen – who made it official yesterday inking his deal to stay a Celtic – said he and his teammates are ready to show Miami what team basketball looks like (as reported by the Boston Herald).

"We look forward to playing (Miami)," he said. "We feel like we're the better team - the team to beat in the East. We definitely look forward to that matchup."

Lol randman, this wasn’t drew that posted this response, check again :).

And I don’t think the difference in terms of height, weight, skill, among those starting 5s is all that big. I feel like injuries could be huge here - if Bynum is gimpy again, which seems to be more likely than not, and Kobe is fighting through injuries again, then the Lakers would be in trouble.

I was talking with a friend about this earlier. LeBron looked smaller this past season/currently than he did two years ago. I think he’s layed off the weights a bit cause he looks noticeably smaller these days.

Bynum’s injuries were due to collisions or landing on other players and twisting oddly. If you think about it, this could really happen to anybody, I’m hoping he’s just had bad luck and he really can sustain himself thru and entire season and thru the playoffs. I could be wrong, but as hard as I’ve been on Bynum I think this year will truly be the tell tale if he is indeed injury prone or if he was simply on the short end of the stick on a couple of collisions.

You’re right. I’ve had Drew in my cross hairs lately so getnitdone I apologize. Still don’t agree with the contention that the Heat are bigger. Not even close when you again consider Ilgauskas. He’s useless for pounding big bodies down low.

And even with a gimpy Bynum and injuries to Kobe the Lakers have a much tougher interior presence than the Heat. And these are what if scenarios anyways. Kobe is finally resting in the offseason and I am still not convinced that Bynum has structural problems and can still be injury free. This season will definitely answer the question either way in my opinion.
