Just read that KD’s extension took exactly one minute to do. Parties met at 11.01 CST, KD signed deal at 11.02 CST. Awesome. Now THAT’S how a deal should be done!
haha awesome. If the deal’s for 86 mill like reported I think that’s the maximum they could have paid anyway, but at least he knew for sure he’d stay.
That’s correct, that’s the max he could have been paid at this stage. I remember reading an interview with KD last year saying he wanted to stay with one team his whole career, so that bodes well for my boys.
He was smart to do it too, before the NBA gets a new Collective Bargaining Agreement that will make salaries go down most likely. Interesting is that Durant didn’t get the opt out clause on his contract like everyone else does…looks like he’s serious about staying on this team. Good for him.

So I was reading some insider Thunder info, and this is apparently how it went down (paraphrased, but pretty accurate):
Presti (GM): Alright Kevin, we’re gonna offer you the max
KD: Sounds good
Presti: You want an opt-out clause?
KD: No
Presti: OK, max deal, no opt-out. Shake on it?
KD: Cool (Presti and KD shake hands)
KD: Where do I sign?
Done
KD elected NOT to take the opt-out clause on his own, so that’s bigtime.
And another one!!! There are so many people now tearing LeLoser a new one I can’t keep track. Especially with this one hour special to “announce” his desired team.
Word from Jay Williams of ESPN: I am going to say this. I just heard from a little bird in his camp, King James and Spike Lee will be seeing a lot of each other next yr.

Between all of the stuff you’ve said, and his conference being from Connecticut, looks like NY is a sure bet.
well I liked Durant before because of his demeanor and his attitude but I really like him more now. Classy move to stick with your team and show some commitment especially when all of this BS is going on. I like his attitude of You take care of me I take care of you. They offer him the max no questions asked and he turns down the opt out clause. Thats how it should be done
I also have more respect for Dirk. I liked dirk before but for him to turn down more money in order to help the team get better shows class. I always respect superstars when they do that. Putting the team first.

its in Connecticut so that when he doesnt pic the Cavs he isnt attacked by a rioting mob.
What do you guys think the chances are that their will be riots in Cleveland if he picks the Knicks?

Jared Dudley on his Twitter account states: “Breakin News! My sources tell me Lebron will sign the KNICKS tomorrow on ESPN.This’s serious.WOW!”
Naturally when you have something this big, there will be speculation, truth, rumors etc. So we’ll find out tomorrow.
Very very high. It’s like a slap in the face to the city of Cleveland. Your team (and city) savior goes on national TV to say he’s gonna play somewhere else? A very high form of disrespect if you ask me.
