I bet lebron signs a 3 year deal with Cleveland and see’s what’s up then. I always thought he’d stay a Cav

So now that’s he’s not joining James, it makes it more likely that Bronbron goes to the Bulls, or Nets, or Knicks. For some reason I still feel like he’ll stay in Cleveland,
I agree with you on the staying in Cleveland, but Jesus he’s an egotistical douche. Holding off on answering for this long, stringing several teams along [especially Cleveland] for basically an entire season, and holding an hour long press conference to announce where he’s signing. What a jerkoff.
Yeah if he does stay in Cleveland (which I always thought he would) it’ll be a total dickhead move. Dragging this whole thing out just to stay put.

Wade and Bosh’s press conference just ended. Nothing that cool to report EXCEPT the fact that they both said they would be willing to take less money in order to get the other players they need to win a championship. I doubt that means LeBron but possibly some other supporting cast players.

^^ As the collective Lakers organization yawns and gears up for the dominant third leg of their three peat run. Ha ha ha ha!!!

Kevin Durant has signed a 5 year extension with the Thunder. Reportedly worth $86 million, which I think is the most they could offer him. The Thunder are already a solid team and things look great for them. I’ve read great things about their management, too. Makes sense given how small the payroll is for this playoff team, even accounting for Durant still being on his rookie deal.
Other news:
-Mav’s are interested in Jermaine O’Neal, and Shaq. Probably not both at once though [no homo], they’d be cheap ways to fill a hole [that’s what she said] on the roster. You have to imagine neither are expecting more than around $5 million, anyway.
-Celts might want Shaq too, given Kendrick Perkins’ knee surgery Shaq could replace him on the starting lineup. Kind of funny given WhiteFlash’s comment that Shaq might be the poor man’s Perkins as of lately-- looks like that’s right. I can picture Kendrick’s reaction to this all: the same facial expression he always has on.
And I just heard Jack Armstrong say on TV that LeBron’s making the announcement tomorrow…FROM CLEVELAND. So assuming that’s true, there’s no way he says he’s leaving Cleveland if he’s doing the announcement from there.

yeah with the lack of free agency drama and the fact that one of the biggest potential challengers in the west lost one of their best players (suns-amare) It seems like a 80% chance the Lakers make it back to the finals. Especially after upgrading their backcourt this offseason.
Cleveland needs to go after Boozer and add him to LeBron (assuming LBJ stays) Thats really their only move at this point.

Dirk to stay in Dallas for “less” than max. “His choice.” Mavs would have paid more. By taking less he helps the organization bring in another quality player.
Say he is soft or can’t win the big one but the dude has class. Just don’t see this type of loyalty much anymore.
His cool points just went way up compared to the rest of the jerk-wads holding their teams hostage…

Ding, ding, ding…
Hour to say team A or team B?
Local radio heads claim he is getting shredded in the Tweet-world.
Not saying it makes it ‘right’ but he made the deal with ESPN to turn it into a broadcast conference only if they agreed to give all money made through advertising to the Boys and Girls Foundation. I’m not saying he made the decision to do a conference like that because he’s the next Jimmy V, but the only reason it’s going to be a live 1 hour broadcast is because ESPN wants it that way.
As for the ‘stringing people along’ and making people wait til (gasp) the day he can actually sign a contract, he is far from the first athlete to do this and it’s pretty much just straight hatorade and piling on to hold that against him without bashing the other guys who do the same thing in every sport every season.
As LD mentioned, Kevin Durant signed 5 yr/86M extension with Thunder, which will A) keep him off the FA market and B) secure him in OKC through 2015-16 season. Obviously the most exciting news of the FA fiasco this summer for me. Def worth the money.
Just wanting to pretty much say what everyone else is saying with LeBron being so full of himself. He thinks the world revolves around him and loves the attention. I remember Bill Simmons writing he met LeBron his rookie year, and the only thing he said was ‘he talked about himself the whole time, really full of himself.’
An hour long press conference? The other 59 minutes will be irrelevant anyways.
Lot of speculation: signs point to NYK, some say he’s taping from Allan Houston’s house, some say he’s taping from ESPN studios, some say he’s taping from his house in CLE.
Jared Dudley on his Twitter account states: “Breakin News! My sources tell me Lebron will sign the KNICKS tomorrow on ESPN.This’s serious.WOW!”
Naturally when you have something this big, there will be speculation, truth, rumors etc. So we’ll find out tomorrow.
Just read that KD’s extension took exactly one minute to do. Parties met at 11.01 CST, KD signed deal at 11.02 CST. Awesome. Now THAT’S how a deal should be done!
It’s all about adoration for LeGay in Free Agency:

haha awesome. If the deal’s for 86 mill like reported I think that’s the maximum they could have paid anyway, but at least he knew for sure he’d stay.
BREAKING NEWS: Carlos Boozer 5 yrs/80M with CHI. Bulls still have enough cap room to sign one max player.
Boozer to Bulls
EDIT: Damnit, you beat me to it.

That’s correct, that’s the max he could have been paid at this stage. I remember reading an interview with KD last year saying he wanted to stay with one team his whole career, so that bodes well for my boys.
The LeBron conference will be from Greenwich, Connecticut.
