A timely article on Bosh “his perceived skill level” and the Toronto GM’s bungling of his chances to building something significant there with Bosh which ultimately will result in Toronto losing him.
Without Dirk that Dallas team can’t do anything.
Isnt it true that every thing you said about Bosh I could do the exact same thing as what you just did?
You still hatin’ on international talent and can’t understand that basketball is a team game. Hasn’t it occurred to you that Dirk is the reason Dallas has been so good. He can take over games and hes a future HOF. 1 time NBA MVP. Should have gone to Bryant? It didnt, plus Dirk’s team was better. Thats my case.
I know Dirk hasnt won but Karl Malone hasn’t either. Atleast Dirk was closer.
I don’t care what you think but you’re being disrespectful by saying I’m trolling. As far as I know youre the only one that has called me an idiot. I didnt call you out the numerous times you said Kobe would have a big series/game and he didnt. And Im not going to call you out if LeBron goes to Chicago.
Apparently the current value of Dirk and Bosh is debatable. I Think Dirk is better, but it’s pretty hard for me to judge Bosh given the teams he’s been on (they suck and they’re never on TV).
Either way, Bosh is much younger and is thus pretty clearly the smarter pick. Get Bron/Wade + Bosh on a team, put some pieces around them, and you have a very good team for the next 5+ years.
Yup.
Anyway…
LAKERS IN BOSH SWEEPSTAKES
-from CBS NBA forums-
I just heard (literally 1 minute ago) on the radio that the Lakers may be entering the Chris Bosh sweepstakes. Apparently several credible sources are saying that the Lakers are looking at a sign and trade that would send Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom to the Raptors for Chris Bosh and Jarrett Jack. So what would you do? Would you make this trade? If so, why? If not, why not?
As for me, I make the trade. I love Andrew Bynum and I love Lamar (even though he is frustrating). I make the trade for 2 reasons:
1.) While Bynum has great upside, I don’t see him as being that much better than Bosh if he reaches his full potential. Additionally, with Bynum suffering significant injuries each of the last 3 years, I’m beginning to wonder if he will ever be healthy enough to reach his potential.
2.) Jarrett Jack can go along towards helping the Lakers with their weakness at guard, particularly if the Lakers decide not to re-sign Shannon Brown. "
My opinion: as already mentioned by randman before I think; why change a good thing already?

?? Bryant did have a big series? He had an off game 7? Do we need to go back through all of this years threads and point out how many times people have told you you’re wrong? We’d fill up an entire thread doing it. Dallas would be a playoff team without Nowitzki, and even with him they can’t get out of the first round. Why’s he a sure fire HOF’er? 'cause he’s won an MVP? 'Cause he can hit 3’s? Look man, I’m the first person to say that Dallas got fucked out of wininng the chip against Miami. They got hosed. But, every year since they’ve done well in the regular season to get bounced early in the playoffs, and a big reason is that Dirk has wilted under the pressure. He’s a supporting actor, not a leading man. There are several guys who put up similar numbers who’s teams do just as well or better, but you’re not calling them future HOF’ers or game changers. You’re acting like they’re non-existant. Nowitzki is a helluva player, but he is nowhere near the 2nd best free agent on the market.

Bosh plays on bad teams? Yeah cuse hes in em.
Dirk is the reason Dallas has been so good.
So what if there numbers are similar, Melos numbers were similar to Kobes in the reg season this year. That means nothing. If you use numbers youre saying Bosh was better this year/last year than Gasol.
Some players are just more valuable than others flash. They know how to win and they take over games.
Dirk has done shit in his career, Bosh hasnt.
Both would be great #2 guys. Both are match up nightmares for opposing teams. And both are not the kind of guys you expect to lead in the playoffs. You keep bringing up Gasol-- newsflash, no one hired him for his winning ability or capacity to lead a team either. Yet you always bring that up regarding Bosh-- even though I keep stressing that I don’t think he should lead a team. We’re talking about how well these two would do in supporting roles-- stop forgetting that when you post.
And you talking about Hall of Fame recognition is pointless. HOF/Legacy talk happens when a player is over the hump. Tim Duncan, KG, these are the guys that get HOF talk. No one cares about whether D-Wade or LBJ or even Kobe are making the hall right now. Those guys still have shit to do individually. I don’t think Dirk’s over the hump, btw–just showing that your point helps my cause more than yours.

No offense, but that article was tuurrrble. Like, REALLY bad. Not just because I disagree, but because it’s BAD.

Dude you really think Chris Bosh is better than Dirk Nowitzki?
Yeah I guess the MVP, and winning % dont mean anything.
You’d make a weak GM man…
EDIT: And man you gotta stop with saying im a troll B.S, im not.
Once you stop trolling I’ll stop calling you out. Make a weak GM? Motherfucker everyone on here is telling you you’re an idiot every time you say something. Winning percentage has to do with the TEAM you play for. Dirk has Mark Cuban behind the scene getting great piece after great piece. And, didn’t they get upset this year? And last? And the year before that? Bosh has Andrea Bargnani. His starting center is named after a fucking woman for christsakes, and plays like her namesake. Dirk can play, but the year he won MVP it shoulda gone to Bryant, and he’s not near as clutch as you keep saying. Get the Dirkvienerschnitzel out of your mouth and open your eyes dude.
So much comedy gold in this post, LOL.
Yeah, I like Bargnani but he’s definitely soft. He’s even gotten chewed out by Bosh in a couple of games for being soft, and Bosh is kinda soft himself. So that’s saying something. Girls here love that dude, though.
I don’t know if this has been posted before but I was on my way to the gym and was listening to the Colin Cowherd show. He was doing a segment on LeBron and was saying how he and the cavs were dealing with a very real issue between another teammate that involved LeBrons mom.
He said he and espn weren’t allowed to report it but that there was a lot of dissension in te locker room… I always thought that was made up and not real (from the playoff thread) but I guess it was/is! Wow

You’re a good dude overall, and I’m not going to call you and idiot, but you have some really annoying tendencies.
A lot of your posts have good points, but then you mix them with some really bad logic. And worse than that, you throw out some accusations that are just plain stupid. On the first page of this thread, you called me a racist for not calling Manu Ginobili an elite player alongside Wade, LeBron, Bosh, etc. That’s ridiculous and you know it.
Now your accusing anyone who prefers Bosh over Dirk anti-European or anti-international or whatever. Flash and Greg both have made it clear they think Gasol is one of the best big men in the league, and neither said Dirk sucked. And I’m a CANADIAN who roots for the RAPTORS and the SUNS. I have no problems with international players. That’s the second time you’ve accused me of being prejudiced.
I don’t think you’re a troll, but it’s not an unreasonable suggestion when you look at the things I’ve pointed out.

Still don’t buy it, but if it were true that’d be pretty wild. And if it were true you’d think the Cavs would move West in a heartbeat to keep James happy. Don’t know why James would want to leave the Cavs for that. It’s not like his mom couldn’t catch teammate dick in another city. Maybe he’s disappointed in his mom’s taste?

ROFL, I always thought it was true [sorry, Bronbron’s mom seems like that kind of lady]. I just didn’t think it was an excuse for anything. Delonte West’s not on the court enough to really affect team chemistry.
Remember when Kobe thought Malone was trying to plow his broad? Dude probably gave Karl the Kendrik Perkins face during practice from them on but on the court the only tension was between Kobe and Shaq :D.
I think the fact that ESPN won’t report it or let people that work for them talk about it just goes to show even more how the media idolizes LBJ and don’t want to tarnish his image at all (kinda like what they did with MJ and all his cheating scandals) the media just sucks LeBron off any chance they get… Crazy
But yeah you’d think West would be gone quick status but maybe that’ll happen after the 1st. I think/hope LBJ stays in clevland but we’ll see what happens in this next week.

It’s crazy to me [whether true or not] that something his mom did would reflect so heavily on him, and that he and his people work so hard to protect his image. Like when he got dunked on by the college kid during his skills academy. The dunk itself was a good play, but nothing spectacular, and “his people” guarded it like he would lose all endorsements if it leaked. The amount of favoritism displayed towards James is at unprecedented levels. Mike didn’t have it like this. It actually irritates the shit out of me honestly.

It’s not that, I think it’s that talking about a player’s mom letting a teammate smash is too much for classier publication to really report. Players cheat and it’s sort of accepted b the general populous, and even then it’s not really reported much unless it ties into the basketball at least slightly, like when Kobe apparently told on Shaq for cheating. This story would be too sleazy. Especially if it turned out to be false.
Smaller sports sites reported it. ESPN is a large company that has an image to protect. It can’t resort to reporting Maury storylines that haven’t been confirmed by a sex tape :).

If Karl Malone did knock Kobe’s old lady up then their kid could legitimately claim it was the Mailmans…
^lol
^^hahah awesome!
I don’t know Bout that LD… News always reports scandals and why would they not report it cause it involved a mom but will report all day about Tiger Woods cheating on his wife a million times?

I can kinda see what Larry’s saying. In Wood’s case he is the high profile person and took a sabbatical due to the transgressions that were proven to be true, where James mom is just related to the high profile person and nothing has been proven to date. Either way, I still don’t buy it but goddamn that would be crazy.
