NBA 2011-2012 Season Thread 2

Chris Andersen a pedo?

Tuned in with about 5 left in the half and caught at least 2 plays where Bynum failed to rotate and Denver got easy layups. If he would do his fucking job LA would be winning. Also, that call at the buzzer was a little suspect. Faried clearly touched the rim but they called Gasol for goaltending. You gotta wonder how the coaching staff and players talk with Bynum. They clearly can’t be honest with him 'cause he’s a giant baby and shuts down. Apparently the Lakers employ fluffers just for Bynum’s ego.

What a dickhead flagrant foul by Kobe

I guess Kobe is taking lessons from World Peace

Extreme lack of effort + Nuggets UNREAL 3 point shooting = pissed off gregron

That’s against the law, son.

Someone needs to teach the Lakers how to play defence…

He was clearly making a play on the ball, and in fact hit the ball. Not saying it wasn’t a hard foul, but I don’t think it was malicious. Also, anyone not named Kobe Bryant wearing purple and gold should be fined for their performance. This is disgusting.

Man playoff basketball is awesome. The atmosphere and the fans make it great. Denver’s man handling of the Lakers is bringing back nostalgia of the Mavericks last year. They’re just clicking on all cylinders.

So if Bynum’s statement is about elimination games is true then are the Lakers going to lay down for game 7?

Man I actually feel bad for Kobe having to call these scrubs his team-mates.

On second thought…nah…not really.

I wouldn’t be surprised AT ALL if the Nuggets win game 7 now. The lack of heart and pride by the Lakers tonight was ridiculous. The Nugs have won the last 2 games strictly by out-hustling and wanting it more. This is the fucking playoffs, not summer ball. The Lakers should be ashamed of themselves, particularly Bynum and Gasol.

Didn’t watch the Lakers game, but did see an awesome highlight this morning. Bynum blocked Faried, Faried gathered the loose ball, went up with it, got stripped by someone else, got the ball again, and laid it in. By the time he laid it back in Bynum was already out at the three point line despite the fact that the play never ended. And he was walking.

Watched the Bulls game at the bar. Knew they lost the instant the ball left CJ Watson’s hands headed towards Asik. I actually shouted “NO!” before he even caught the ball, half the bar looked at me like I was crazy.

They weren’t beating MIA or maybe even ATL/BOS but still, was pissed.

Also, Boozer needs to be amnesty’d. He has never produced in the playoffs, He always sits in the deciding minutes anyway (meaning Thibs thinks Gibson is a bigger net positive than Boozer)… if he could even play remotely passable defense against PFs he would be decent but he is not worth nearly 15m. The fact that he went 1-for-11 in an elimination game and got 0 minutes in the 4th quarter sums up his Chicago experience.

Check out the quote midway through this article: Boozer's season again ends with a thud - Chicago Bulls Blog- ESPN

“I thought I played well, especially with the kind of season it was,” Boozer said, when asked to asses his second season in Chicago. “We had the best record again in basketball, won our division again, had the top seed again, that’s all that matters, yo.”

Pretty much sums it up.

I was on the phone during the game with my buddy who’s a huge Lakers fan as well and we were going off on Bynum. He was the last dude down the court almost EVERY single time!!! There were a few possessions in the en of the 3rd/start of the 4th where they tossed the ball down to Kobe who was posted up in the low block already and Bynum was still walking down court outside the 3 point line! Unreal!!

Bynum needs to be boo’d HARD when he takes the floor for game7.

I’m sure booing your own team helps their chances…

While I agree, he’s too fragile for that. He’d either have an emotional breakdown or start throwing 'bows at Nuggets heads, or both. I honestly feel like he’s personally sabotaging his teams efforts 'cause he feels slighted in some way by his team. He’s a legend in his own mind, and a world class jackass. The Lakers need to move him this off-season 'cause he is not worth the headache. This should’ve been a 5 game series MAX, but Bynum’s punkass quit on his team.

I could care less if they win, well i would like to see OKC smash them next round…

Boo the hell out of Bynum, and cheer like crazy for Kobe. That should get the point across.
