Only if Bynum gives that forearm shot to KD or westbrooke and takes them out. Which i wouldnt rule out as possible.
Didn’t realize just HOW bad Bynum’s attitude was/is. Before the playoffs, I thought the Lakers had an outside shot of taking this thing. Now, as soon as Perkins puts a 'bow in Bynum he’ll either get himself kicked out or pout the rest of the game and he can’t help when he isn’t there. Their chances are getting slimmer every game Bynum plays.

When the Knicks hit your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s A’mare!

This series has really encapsulated all of Bynum’s personality and career in only 5 games. Comes out and fucking dominates like the best center in the league then this crap.

I wouldn’t want him on my team nor would I ever want to play against him.

Wow this Knicks-Heat game sure has been exciting huh? Snooze.

Clips-Grizz later though… couldn’t they switch time slots? I needs my beauty sleep.

Random comment, but wtf is with the popularity of playoff beards in the NBA now? Leave that shit to hockey players…

Clippers-Grizzlies has been very competitive and I believe Memphis has been quite unlucky throughout the series. But give credit to the Clippers, I guess you can make your own luck when you have CP3 on your squad.

Zach Randolph is the Grizzlie’s x-factor. Last year he lit up the Spurs. He needs to go on one of those stretches where you’re left thinking “man how is this dude with nearly no athleticism scoring so easily?”

The reason this year’s Z-Bo doesnt resemble last year’s Z-Bo is because Gay is healthy

If Bynum isnt getting lots of touches and scoring points he mentally checks out of games. Its so frustrating. When he’s playing like he’s capable of playing the Lakers are a pretty darn good team… the problem is he’s a giant toddler and has the “fine! I’m taking my ball and going home.” attitude a lot of the time.
To be fair, its not just Bynum who acts this way.

Plenty of bigs end up slacking at the defensive end when they’re not very involved offensively. In other words, its hard to bring top-notch defensive intensity when you’re just “going thru the motions” at the other end.

Now of course Bynum’s a professional and he’s paid a ton of money and this is childish but a leader/superstar like Bryant also needs to understand this about his teammates and bigs, in general. (cause heck, P Gasol gets ignored even more, and just because he doesnt EVER complain doesn’t make it correct)

I know you’re a die-hard Laker fan, but trying to defend Bynum’s jackassery is like putting whitewalls on a garbage truck. Pouting 'cause you think you’re not getting enough touches is one thing, shutting down and acting like a spoiled little bitch 'cause [insert perceived slight here] is a whole different thing. There is NO EXCUSE for his behavior.

Gay’s presence may be affecting his points production but his other stats are down from last year’s playoffs. And he can still go on those stretches where he just makes some nice shots.

Agreed. But given what we know about the “entitlement generation” and such, I do expect Bryant to do whatever needs doing re: keeping Bynum motivated and involved.

Now whether that’s tough love or coddling or something else entirely, it’s on Bryant to get it done (and he knows this, of course)

Regarding the whole Bynum thing, do you think it’s coincidence how his immaturity seems to have particularly come out this year, the season after Phil Jackson left? I’m basically insinuating that Mike Brown isn’t doing a good job controlling Bynum. Sure, a lot of the critique has to come from the players but the coach is the guy that should be able to sit you down and give you a verbal lashing if your behaviour is unwarranted and detrimental to the success of the team. Or similarly, if you’re not producing to your potential.

Brown’s personality and related coaching style seems to be a little too relaxed. This is the same guy that coached LeBron James for the greater part of 7 years as LeBron developed as an NBA player. It goes back to the conversation I brought up before about Erik Spoelstra and how LeBron Jame’s hasn’t had a hall-of-fame type coach that you’d think is better at managing enormous talent ala LeBron James.

Obviously Kobe isn’t getting through to Bynum (assuming Kobe has tried to do something at all) so there needs to be someone to sort this guy out. I find it implausible no one associated with the Laker’s organisation can get through to this guy and fix his attitude. Because at the end of the day, it’s really only his attitude and professionalism that needs changing.

It sucks, but you’reprobably right. Gotta give the baby his bottle.

If you left deandre Jordan in the gym all night by himself and told him
he couldn’t dunk he would have 6 pts by morning.

Barkley says some stupid shit but that made me lol

That is pretty funny. I’ve met Jordan twice and his arm length is insane. His wingspan has to be in the mid 7 feet range.

No, it’s because Z-Bo isn’t fully healthy himself yet.

NBA players ranked Wesley Johnson (career 39.8% FG / 34% 3FG) as the 12th best pure shooter in the league, one spot ahead of Kevin Durant

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/1205/nba.poll.best.pure.shooter/content.12.html

This is why I do not trust any player opinion polls.

Tonight is where it continues… KOBE BRYANT FLU GAME!!!

He’s going to battle, make impossible jumpers, will his team to the win (and probably throw up a few times courtside)

The team will take up this rallying cry and make an unstoppable run to the Finals where they will sweep the Heat in 3 games (the heat will pull a LBJ and just quit the last game)

Kobe reigns supreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeme!

trololololol

highlight of the game… break away 360 dunk where Kobe pukes right at takeoff and sends a swirl of “will to win” infused vomit spraying out around him like the rings of Saturn. it will be beautiful.

Haha, had to google this to make sure you weren’t joshin’. The Lakers are saying it’s a “game time decision”. Koe Bryant would have to be murdered, thrown in a casket wrapped in locked chains and sent to the bottom of the ocean to miss this game. If he’s at 80% I think LA takes this. That’s provided the rest of the team doesn’t just go through the motions.
