I have been training for a year and a half and have experienced nausea once and a while but not very often. Lately since i changed up my workout (3-5 rep range with 85-90% of my 1RM, 3-4 sets per exercise) i get nausea after my workout.
I eat very well and drink plenty of water before, during, and after workouts. I also eat well after workouts. Is the nausea caused by overtraining? Has anoyone else experience this and have and advice?
Supplements:
Metabolic Drive bars
VPX Zero Impact bars and protein shakes
Fish oil, ALA, L Arginine, CE2, Chlorella, probiotics…
I average about 170-190g protein a day. I weigh 165.
Hmm, I used to get like that toward the end of crossfit sessions. I found that it helped to over breath (breath in and out fast about 5-10 times) before doing something especially exerting.
If your heart is going at 190 and everything is a little blurry then you just need to breath better to get more oxygen to your brain.
This happens to me during squats and deads. I don’t breathe during the movement because I prefer to keep my core contracted 100% for spinal health. It is not overtraining.
Agreed with Outkast. Just chill out, sit down if you have too, relax for a few seconds and BREATHE.
Are you taking a bunch of pills before/during your workout. Sometimes that gets to me if I get my heartrate up on an empty stomach filled with a bunch of water and BCAAs.
Happens to me all the time with that kind of weight and reps, occasionally pass out or lose my lunch. That’s how I know it’s working, welcome to the club.
i eat a protein bar and usually some fruit or a PB&J about 45 mins before a workout. I only take L Arginine before the gym. Talked to a few friends. They recommended hitting the bike for 5 mins to cool down more before i leave. Plus drink twice the amount of water im drinking now. Today i was fine. I really didnt eat enough before i went to the gym the day i posted this thread. I just never felt like that before.
