Natural Supplements

Long story short, it took me over a year to convince my dad to let me drink 100% whey protein. Any other supplements are clearly out of question.

Are there any food that contain natural chain amino acids or beta alanine that I could eat instead of using BCAA and BETA-7?

Yes, meat. Veggies and fruit wouldn’t hurt you either.

Supps are not a big deal, a good daily diet and a solid workout routine are much more important.

Using whey is fine, thats not even needed but can help. Dont worry about the supps though, real foods are almost always better for you anytime anyway.

When I was your age, I tried to appeal to my mother. Somes mom will help you sneak it or order it for you w/o telling your dad. I would try that avenue and I would take a Good Multi-Vitamin if that is aloud or can be sneaked in.

Bottom line try to go around Dad not through him!

That’s what I’m trying to do, find real foods that contain natural amino acids etc. The whey is just to get in protein post-workout because I have to take a bus home from the school weight room, which takes around 40-50 minutes.

Haha good idea, but she’s scared of him haha.

I switched from WHEY PROTEIN to HEMP PROTEIN. It’s more natural and it tastes good.

Okay, I’ll bite.

How do you figure hemp protein is more natural than whey protein?

How do you define “natural” exactly…?

Heres a few words about it.

More protein than 2 large boiled eggs (14 grams)
More iron than 225 grams of raw spinach
As much fiber as 2.5 pieces of whole wheat bread
As much Vitamin D as 4 8-oz glasses of milk

As well as numerous trace minerals, all contained in just 120 calories, with the same carbohydrates as 3 oz of raw grapefruit. It??s pretty amazing.

So, what are these ingredients?

Hemp Protein Powder
The hemp seed is an amazing source of protein. Protein is made of amino acids, and hemp contains all of that adults need, and almost all that children require. Ruth??s Hemp Protein powder contains 50% protein, and is also a source of Essential Fatty Acids, Omegas 3, 6 and 9. Our powder is a very fine grind, to suspend well in smoothies. Certified organically grown in the Canadian prairies, take it daily as an alternative to meat or soy protein, to build muscles and increase stamina and energy. This powder contains 80% hemp protein.

Well the way I see “natural” is it first comes off it comes from a plant. So it makes it organic, raw and its natural protein.

That’s not the definition of “natural” at all.

Is Hemp even a complete protein? If not, you better be consuming the required complementary amino acids if you want to build muscle with it.

So, if it comes from an animal it isn’t natural?

So steak is not natural, because it didn’t come from a plant…?

Anyway, it was a trick question. “Natural” means nothing and everything. It’s just a recent gimmicky word to sell packaged crap to ignoramuses.

Get a job and buy it yourself, then she can’t say anything because it is your money.

If it comes from an animal it is natural but isnt WHEY protein processed?

Plus I take Hemp because it has less protein. I can’t burn all the calories from WHEY. It was too much protein for me because I ate a lot of meat already.

Um, you kinda gotta sorta process the hemp plant in order to get hemp protein powder, yes?

Or do you suck powder right out of the leaves? I’m thinkin’ not.

Like Rykker just stated, your hemp protein is processed – possibly much more than whey.

What’s so hard about just using less whey?

Unfortunatly you’d be surprised.

My dad is one of those people who controls every single aspect of my life, and there’s nothing I can do about it until I move out in 2 years.

hemp man, it’s natural man, it’s like a plant, man.

whey powder has BCAA’s and glutamine in it already. milk isn’t a bad idea.
