i’ve seen a guy having his feet under a 315lbs barbell, and it was looking very solid. i use a big peace of furniture called the leg press, it fits perfect
^ How exactly do you do it on the Leg press? I’m intrigued…
i propabily used the wrong words to describe it. the leg press in my gym have an oval horizontal post 1/2 foot over the ground and it fits perfectly for me to hold my feet under the post.

I do it on the Smith Machine. I bring the bar all the way down, well with enough space to lock my feet under it and a yoga mat to protect my knees. [/quote]
Can you post a video of this? I’m having a hard time picturing it and when I leave school I won’t have a gym with a GHR so I should probably learn how to do these.
I use a 45 degree hyper-extension bench with the pads lowered as low as possible for the knees and then raise the back of the bench about 12 inches using weight plates. This get the feet-to-knees alignment almost parallel. Adjusting the height can make this movement easier or harder (higher). The movement is similar to performing NGHR on a BOSU Ball in that you get a little help at full extension from the pads contacting the lower quads. I’ll have to try the BOSU Ball now.
the spa i work out at finally got one throught USSKIING olympian Stacey Cook and I did a set of exactly TWO ![]()
But as Wendler (i believe) has said before " do them daily until you no longer SUCK". So off I go to do them until I eventually get to a set of 15, at which point I will start to add 5 pounds until 15 reps reached.
To ALL those fortunate enough to have had this piece of equipment at your disposal I do envy you. Everyone that post seems to understand what a great benefit it is…Lift STRONG and fight Mediocrity !
