Last light workout before my tune up meet this weekend . And then after that it is on to nationals . So I am hoping this training cycle went as good as I think it did and I can throw up some PR’s at this meet . Time will tell though, meet report to come on sunday .

Meet report 1/17/09

Louisiana state meet was a great meet with lots of liftesr this year . However today was not my day, the mix of 4 hours sleep a 10 hour meet day, and a pulled muscle in my lower back this did not make for a good showing on my part .But none the less the numbers came as follows .

Squat
1st-620 ,good
2nd -660, good
3rd -700 , no good just missed it at lock out but it will be there no problem after the next training cycle .

Bench
1st-330 , good ," smoke show"
2nd-360,no good , blasted it of the chest and stalled about 2 inchs from lock out .
3rd -360,no good , came down strong but miss groved right of the chest .

deadlift

1st-610,good
2nd- 650,no good , just missed the lock out and at this point I was pretty much fried and had nothing left in the tank because the day was so long .
3rd -650 , no good .

Total -1600

Lessons learned from this meet , I will need to work on my lock out in each lift right now those seem to be my weak points . Also I need to work on improving the speed with which I preform the lifts. S o now it is about 5 days of f and then 8 weeks till nationals .
