Hold up dude. I never said one thing about what i could do until you called it gay. Most people in cheerleading can do what i said that i do. Thats not bragging. It would be like saying hey i bench 300 lbs. Big deal. theres a million people who can do that. You say its frivilous. Well then i guess all sports are frivilous. How many people in sports go onto a life of doing what they did in sports? You cant call what i do gay and then not expect me to defend it. Thats what i was doing. Holding a girl with one hand is easy. thats not bragging. Saying that it takes most people a year or so to do it and it only took me three months is bragging. Did i say that? I dont think so.Youve absolutly ruined this thread by taking shots at what i do and at me. Some of the most respected people on this forum have acknoledged cheerleading as a serious activity. I didn’t take any pot shots at you, I simply stated my opinion of cheerleading in a public forum in a thread related to the topic; as for what other people think of your sport, that’s their opinion. Further, I never called you gay, but that’s what you inferred. Don’t be so defensive. If you like what you do, isn’t that all that matters?

Ive seen the light. Its gay. I dont know what i was thinking. Thanks dirty dirk or whatever you name is. Im quiting today. Im gonna turn in my bloomers and and pom poms and go work construction or do some other “manly” activity. First though i wanna give you a list of people who have competed in cheerleading. Ben Lowe who plays offensive line for the University of GA. One guy that helps run COA has a national championship ring in football and competed in powerlifting. He “invented” our elite. Rob, The owner of United Cheerleading played football at Kentucky. And i was recruited by Jack State and West GA to play football. Im not bragging though JJ. Ive seen many people come through and quit because they couldnt do it. I liken it to professional wrestling. It gets laughed at but theres not many people who could cut it physically. Thats all i got to say about that. THE END!

Goldberg- You’re sport involves having your hands on the best female bods in school. Sounds like the straightest sport I’ve heard in my life! And to those that see high level stunting as girly, remember that cheerleading was a male activity in the beginning. The chicks took it over and now most people don’t even remember that men invented it and were the first cheerleaders.
Oh dear Lord I’m gonna defend cheerleading… grin ANYway, look cheerleading at the high school level in my state is a joke. Rah Rah Rah. gag However, college level work is no less athletic than gymnastics… and often crosses over directly. Look, I play rugby, I have for years. I play against women who are bigger than most men I know. Would I let a couple of guys throw me 25 feet in the air? No fucking way! Sounds nothing short of terrifying to me. As for the guys on Goldberg’s team ‘boning’ the girls, perhaps they - unlike you - are not pigs? Goldberg - unfortunately for you and your team most people think of cheerleading in reference to the bimbos who populated the chearleading team in their high school. Infact, most of the pro football teams ruin it for you too. Competitive (please note the stress on ‘competitve’) college cheerleading is no less a sport than rugby, maybe you can just change the lame name???

Dude, the link no longer works – it appears that they have taken the video streams off the site, which is too bad as I would have liked to have seen the routine. On a side note as to the digression of the thread, the guys who do competitive stunting are some of the strongest pound-for-pound guys I see in the gym. And, Dirk, my buddy coached the cheerleaders here at Vanderbilt last year, and was on the Miami (OH) team in undergrad, and if you think those guys don’t pull chicks, from both within their own squad and from the general student body (and from other schools’ teams when they road trip) you’re sadly mistaken. I have “known” MANY cheerleaders and they have NOTHING to do with the gay…uhm,uhm, guy cheer “people”. believe what YOU want but the FACT is if you could PLAY you would be playing and not jumping up and down with pom poms!!!
Dirk i did play you stupid fucker. I transferred to the school im at now because they had exercise science. I decided I had played enough football. I had a lot of out of state offers to play football but the scholarships werent enough to cover out of state fees. I was also offered preferred walk on spots at West GA and Jacksonville State. I had severly damaged shoulders and would have needed surgery in order to play. I made a decision that i have never regretted. I separated one of my shoulders at least once a week and many times while i was doing nothing at all. So you can take that wasnt good enough to play crap, write it down, eat it, and blow it out your ass.
