NASA Grand Nationals

Is being hosted in my town. I probably won’t compete (I don’t think I’m allowed). Anyone else going? Any information on how I could get myself in the meet? I wouldn’t mind seeing some t-nationers there.

NASAKYCHAINMAN, any other information about the meet?

you mean to tell me that we live in the same freakin’ town ??

dont think it’s too late to enter . probably a late fee though . why wouldnt you be allowed ?

I’ll be there…not lifting , but helping out a couple of buddies ; one in the 198s and another in the 242’s .

dude , if you go , watch for a real old guy…in his frikkin’ seventies , took up P’lifting just the last few years .

Oh yeah…if you’re really interested , I can PM you a phone number . but pretty sure you can sign up Friday , pre-weigh-in . would strongly advise weighing in that night also , as this meet last year had about 70 lifters IIRC .

I can’t afford it :(. I’ll be spectating though. Where do you lift? I lift at north high. I’ll be sporting my Wisconsin Highschool Powerlifting Association tee. I’ll stick out a bit. I won’t be there till a bit after noon anyways. I have work in the morning.

NASA has caffiene as a banned supplement. the hell?

yeah, anyways. WHere do you lift at? NHS has a nice facility, but horrible atmosphere. I listened to rhiana (sp?). during my squats. Talk about a buzzkill.

open in the mornings and after 3pm mon-friday

I drop deadlifts frequently, drop cleans frequently, etc. It can be crowded, but not too much during hte summer. 6 squat racks and even more benches. Dumbells up to 100 and several extra benches to use them, cables, etc. During the school year you’ll probably have to wade through moron highschool kids. It’s also free. They just happen to play pop music every day.

FYI NCAA bans caffeine in ridiculously high levels too.

Edit: Sorry, like this matters, felt a little Claven-like tonight.

Online Newspaper article about the meet:

If you are not going to compete, admission is $10 for individuals 13 and older, $5 for ages 6-12. Kids 5-under are admitted free.

Definitely, when meets come to your town, try to compete in them.

I would, I just can’t afford it. I don’t know 100% if I can afford to go, and pay for other stuff I need. Marlboroman If you decide to lift at north high sometime. give me a pm. We can lift together.
