N.O. Fury by Six Star

There’s plenty of bulk supplement sellers online it’s not difficult to turn something into a pennies a serving sort of thing. I guess if mixing a couple of table spoons of a couple of different powders is too difficult for you, then keep buying the wal-mart supps.

I’m not going to discount the placebo affect, but again I’d like to see these “many” scientific studies that show how beneficial NO supplements are.

Props for the Zoolander pose though, you got that shit nailed brah.

I dunno man. Shit seems to work pretty well for me. Alot of my gym buddies and friends swear by it as well. If we are all dillusional…then its a serious co-incidence. Ive heard people knock every supplement imaginable…from creatine, to protein. Then at the same time you can find a shit load of people that live by them. I guess whatever works, or you think works, or doesnt work but you think is working…works best.

NO till i die

Think of the type of people who knock creatine and protein. Do you think there are many of those people on T-Nation?

And to answer your question earlier. I drink Surge during my workout, and I take 2 pills of L-arginine, soooo, yeah, it’s not terribly hard.

I know there arent alot of “those” people on T-Nation. Thats why i posted my orginal question on here instead of some other BB site. It seems to be a concensus that alot of people dont support the NO movement, which is cool too. I actually learned a little more about what exactly im taking thats making my body respond the way it does. Thanks.

I will def try ur arginine and Surge concoction eventually. Just gotta get thru this tub of Wally-splode first.

Hey. Wondering if anyone has ever tried the stuff. They sell it @ Wall-Mart. I kno its a knockoff NO explode, superpump, white flood etc etc etc. But its only $20 and it looks to have the same ingredients as most of these pre-workout NO boosters i jack serious money on.

JW if anyone has tried it. I bought a jug of their whey a while back and it was fine…kinda chalky, but im more worried about performance than taste. Wish i had a pic of what it looks like but im at work. Red bottle, comes in powder, 1-3 scoops per serving like NO. lemme kno whats good with this cheap as NO. thx.[/quote]

In my opinion any NO supplement is a acomplete waste of money. WalMart the supplement superstore. Damn, give me a break.

Beast status is a way of life bro. U are the picture-less shit talker so u are probably far far far from it.

“The intelligent and relentless pursuit of muscle.”

Not

“To buy the most hyped and marketed product and believe the bullshit.”

Ever wonder why you don’t see 12 page “studies” in MF or MD from Biotest? Like some of the other supplement companies? Because their shit works. Don’t think I’m a Biotest fan boy though, because if I come across something cheaper that I get the same results with in regards to a T-Nation supp, I’m gonna make the switch. example: bulk leucine

I could probably put out a concoction with little more than creatine and kool-aid. Slap an 80$ price tag on it. I figure all I’d need to do would be to pay to have it marketed, maybe give Kai a shit ton of money to pose in some pictures acting like he’s taking it. I imagine it wouldn’t take long for people to start swearing by it like your buddies do.

If drinking piss makes you feel like you’re getting “swole” who am I to tell you to stop? It’s when you claim that it’s scientifically proven, or think that your anecdotal evidence means anything to anyone else, that’s when I’m gonna throw a bullshit flag.

NO in and of itself is a joke. Whether it’s bought from the bargain bin at wal-mart or from BSN.

I never said anything about NO being scientifically proven. I could care less. Most supps arent. All i said was…i take it and it works.

I read a variety of muscle mags, but my inspiration for what supps i buy doesnt come from sum juiced up bodybuilder in a BSN add. I kno most of them dont even take the product they are endorsing. So what. I was a communication major…i know the game.

I take what works for me. NO products definitley give me more of a pump, definitley make me more vascular and above all give me a sustained burst of energy for the beast sesh. You are probably right, “NO” probably is bullshit. But the ingredients that they put into the product work. L Arginine, creatine, caffeine. All proven to aid in some sort of bodybuilding aspect.

Honestly i dont kno why u care so much that i “waste my money on piss” just like i could care less about your standpoint on NO products. My OP was a question about a specific brand, not a question about how much NO makes your vagina hurt.

So you sought out the advice of T-Nation posters, then, when we didn’t rave about your product, you disregard the advice anyway…

What’s the point?

The point is. I didnt post on here to find out whether or not people like NO. I simply asked if anyone had tried a specific product i was currently using.

The only advice i got is that NO is garbage. Which is fine. I dont understand where u find disregard in the fact that regardless of how you feel about NO products…im gonna take them anyway.

You dont fuck with NO…fine. So, i dont even understand why you are posting in this thread. U have helped me in absolutley no way whatsoever with your useless posts.

“whats the point?”

It is not possible to ingest enough l-arginine to cause any significant vasodilation.
The effects of vasodilation occur at a 30 gram dosage administered INTRAVENOUSLY.
That means that you would need to ingest 40-50 grams AT LEAST of l-arginine to achieve any increase in vasodilation.
Obviously, because of the resulting gastric upset from even 10 grams, this is impossible.

MORE IMPORTANTLY, the effects of l-arginine for vasodilation occur almost entirely from triggering the release of insulin(much like glutamine and glycine).

That means that l-arginine is no better than sugar at increasing vasodilation.

This also means that l-arginine is only useful as a supplement when alternatives to sugar are needed for the PWO window. Even then, though, glutamine and glycine are better choices.

No skin off my ass if you don’t want to educate yourself with what you’re putting in your body. Why ask though? You had already intended on taking it. So no matter what was said it wouldn’t have mattered.

I think I should quote Invictica because it might have been overlooked.

lol guidos…

I’m curious as to what Bill Robert’s answer would be to the (in)effectiveness of NO supplements are… all I can think of is that it’s a gas? All I got from some googling and pubmed was L-Arg being a small up-regulator of iNOS…

As a disclaimer, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing and I hope Bill doesn’t tear me a new one for misrepresenting science O_____o

Arginine akg has been proven ineffective. Not L-Arginine. Use some n.o. yourself, and feel/see the results and the increased vascularity. Then trade your gaping overly fucked vagina in for a dick. Looking at the pics of you litle girls, you need some kind of supplementation. Is this estogen Nation???

wow dude. zoolander and guidos. U seem to kno as much about me as u do NO. Ur posts show alot about ur integrity. Ignorant fuck.

Um, what are you talking about?

Maybe, but I’m not the one asking questions about it. So I guess it means I know more about NO than you?

Still waiting on any real studies proving the effectiveness, you idiots seem to keep parroting it, yet can’t prove shit. As far as I’m concerned you’ve bought into the hype, hook line and sinker. How’s it feel to be a puppet?

Oh and the comments about you are merely from your avatar and the way you communicate on here “bro”

Dear lord. . . . this thread. . .

The reason people here tend to dismiss NO2 products is because the science behind the supplements are faulty. Not NO2 itself. Please take the time to read these articles.

http://www.T-Nation.com/free_online_article//the_no2arginine_scam

Yes, they are T-Nation articles, (for anyone who thinks business might be playing a role here) but you can look up the references yourself to verify that this is not company hype.

Honestly if it comes to “Science says no but I know it works!” Shouldn’t you do some thinking about that?
