My ZMA Experience

Hi all,

Just thought I’d share my experience with ZMA. I recently purchased this supplement (10 days ago) in the hope that it would aid sleep and to experience the crazy vivid dreams!

This stuff has assisted a little with my sleep despite consistently waking a couple hours early (still feel rested afterwards). I also experienced the most crazy lucid dream I have ever had on the first night which was a load of fun. Unfortunately the dreams have not continued (damn!). What I’ve been more impressed with however is what it has done for me in the gym after such a short time.

I have made significant strength/muscle gains! I know this sounds a little unbelievable but it’s true. The weight feels significantly lighter which is bloody awesome. I know ZMA is supposed to increase T levels and strength but I’m just very surprised with the results.

There has been one negative effect from ZMA however. In the morning I wake up with red, itchy blotches on my forearms. The go away after by the end of the day but are slightly annoying. I’m assuming that this may be a sign that the product is working? Maybe I need to reduce dose from the standard 3 a day?

Anyway, just thought I’d share my experience. Anyone else get similar results/effects?

Just started taking Biotest ZMA about a week ago. I am having some crazy dreams and one or two nights I had night terror type dreams where you wake up abruptly. I have also noticed I am sweating like crazy in my sleep, like my pillow is soaked when I wake up and I keep my a/c at 70 when I go to bed. my girlfriend is really loving the sweat puddles.

One thing I have difficulty with is taking it on an empty stomach because I usually eat my last meal at 9-10pm (sometimes later, I’m usually working till 7-8 and gym after work). Also I always have a shake right before I go to bed, so I have been trying to take my ZMA 30 mins or so before the shake.

I’m interested in what other people have to say about this too.

The Elitepro mineral support costs a little bit more, but you don’t have to worry about what you take it with.

I never tried the ZMA, but use the Mineral Support regularly, and have popped a couple of Z12’s on occasion. Both give me deep sleep, and certainly no terror-dreams. Usually, I take the Mineral Support with my pre-bed shake, and actually notice a big difference in my recovery (which is huge for me, at 37 years old and training 6, sometimes 7 days a week).

significant strength and muscle gains? in 10 days? strength, depending on what youre taking, you could notice that immediately in your first workout with a new compound (example: Alpha-GPC). notable muscle gains in 10 days…nope, sorry.

Actually, my statement of “significant” gains was directed more at my strength gains, HOWEVER, there is no doubt that there has been a NOTABLE (your word fits perfectly) difference in muscularity. There is a clear noticeable and measured difference in all body parts.

I have zero reason to bullshit anyone. I was just being objective and surprised by the effect. Yeah, you’re right the strength gain is more evident and expected.

Mallen & Stu, thank you for your input I will check out the Mineral Support with my next order.
