My World of Bodybuilding in Gold's Gym

Let me start off by telling you a little bit about my self. My names Anthony and I?m from Las Vegas. Like most of you bodybuilding is a huge part of my life.

I love it, I breath, I live it. I have been working out about 2 years. Started off my lifting weights in my uncles back yard and then got a membership to a local gym…

Then I started to get tired of all the douche bags crowding the bench area and just jabbering away about what?s the best way to train chest, when they them self?s barely touch a weight.

The places was just way over crowed after 5 p.m. it was like herds of obese women and older man wearing matching yellow head band. GOD it made me sick. Finally I had the last straw.

I was minding my own business using the hack squat, pumping the shit out of my legs hitting 20 reps, when this fucking asshole of a trainer came up to me and told me not to bang the weights. You know I don?t tell you what fuck to do so don?t tell me what the fuck to do.

I was just enraged I canceled my membership and told them to screw them self?s. Some of you may think I went over bored but you know what leg day is a serious day you need all the energy and focus that your body can muster. So know I was at the point where I needed a new gym and across the street was GOLDS GYM the Mecca of gyms.

I was little intimated by the gym everyone in Vegas that?s a gym rat talk about that specific Gold?s Gym. So I went in and got a membership. This place is just huge and I mean HUGE.

Tons of free weights, plenty of cables, MMA ring, huge cardio section, endless amounts of bench?s, a power lifting area, many leg press, hack squats, squat rack, just tons and tons of shit. It was love at first sight. People where actual training legs hear, and doing squats and dead lifts, unbelievable.

It was just a shock to me. Its defiantly a great atmosphere to train in, the mood is perfect for lifting. Let me try to paint a portrait for you of my Gold Gym.

Preacher Bar all torn up, leather coming off of benches that are under repair, hydraulic squat racks, guys screaming in pain after hitting there 12 rep of heavy squats, bars just bending from the weight, chalk stains on the barbells, weights slamming, MMA fighters hitting the weight bag, men collapsing from super setting dead lifts and squats, Jay cutler doing shoulder press, The Rock doing cardio, Carrot Top bench pressing

(Yes I did say Carrot Top and his built no shit). People do work in these gym. There are just tons of things you can learn hear to take your training to the next level, people are very friendly hear, all ways ready to give advice if you have any questions.

In my next part of my article I?ll be interviewing some of the bodybuilders, trainers, athletes, gym members and maybe a few celebrities about GOLDS GYM Las Vegas. If you have any questions about the gold?s I go to PM me.

How defiant is this atmosphere?

Ask carrot top has he ever considered dying his hair.

Work out at home.

Problem solved.

I suggest you finish high school before you attempt to write another one of these informative articles.

^^haha

wow… no i mean wow!!!
are you a journalist? , it was like you took me right into the gym , the linguistic craftsmanship, the excellence of word play.
This piece should be printed and lamenated then placed on a wall for inspiration.

That’s a good story, man.

Makes me wonder why you didn’t just sign up at Gold’s Gym in the first place, since you’re so into bodybuilding and it was just across the street from your previous gym.

I guess you didn’t notice the Gold’s Gym the first time you saw it. What focus!

Wow I somehow missed that one. Is there a “best of T-Nation” somewhere that includes gems like this, combat pyramids, and some of the RMP trainwrecks?

I wish I had a gym like that near. I workout at a commercial gym and I hate it. 3/4 of guys are douchebags who main exercises are the smith bench press and curls. One day I wanted to do fat-boy inverted row.

As usual, there was a chubby douchebag with a golden chain and his wanna-be thug friends. I told him he could do them one the regular bench and he like screamed at me ‘‘hell no’’. The trainer at my gym are idiots who don’t know shit about bodybuilding they look like they didn’t touched a weight in their entire life. The little bitch at the counter don’t even know how to fucking make a shake one day I asked for one and she filled the shaker full of water for only 1 scoop. One day I was squatting hard and a employee went to tell me to stop screaming. I realised the fat cow who was signing an abonnement was scared.

couple of month ago I was deadlifting 315 which is not much and a lady came to tell me I was crazy and I was going to hurt myself and you should only do 10+ reps. yeah also people in my gym thinks they are strong when they put 4 plates each side of the leg press.

Also the lobby of the gym is filled with advertisment with steroid-induced muscular guys who advertise some obscure supplement and they sell 1lbs of creatine 79.99 and all the people wears clothe with skulls and the same tank-top with ‘‘revolution-x’’ written on it and thinks that high-reps are for cutting. They also all paid 50$ for the mediocre standard 4-day split they give to everyone. I saw it once and it’s like machine curls and lats-pulldown

I feel better now after writting this

BTW the name of my gym is the Body shop and it’s located in Ste-thérèse, Quebec

Nice to see you guys are such a welcoming bunch.
