I like to add a couple tablespoons of ground flax seeds to my shakes too as a nice way to get some more omega-3’s. I also put a cup of broccoli florets into my shake every morning and the fruits I use completely cover the taste.

Maybe a bad production run? I don’t know?
Here’s a tip though- The one I have is an Osterizer that is designed for making daqueries. I would assume that this means it can handle chopping ice.
Maybe you’re killing a blender that isn’t designed to do what you need.

This one actually is designe to chop ice as well. So I don’t know what the deal is. Surely apples oats and peanut butter wouldn’t burn one up?
maybe it’s the electricity in kansas. It’s too straight and too strong for your blender.

Assuming there’s some sort of liquid in there, no, it shouldn’t.

As do I cant beat it peanuts, walnuts, almonds food processor and bingo you got tons of nut butter.

I throw in a little EVOO, black strap molasses, cinnamon and maybe a little whey sometimes too. Definitly walnuts with the peanuts though. Makes em last longer as they can be a bit pricey.
I got the cheap plastic 400w blender that just died, used at a garage sale and it lasted a year of constant use. I don’t know why this is happening to you.

If you want a real blender, the Vita Mix is the only way to go. I love mine. Maybe after you get out of college 'cause they’re $$$$.

Truth, the best kitchen purchase I have made to date.

yea, the hulk shake. forgot to quote your original message.

Try putting in the liquid and soft items first. Then add the harder items. Also you can take the clear part of the cap off and then drop things like apple chunks and nuts in. You may be starting your shakes with too little liquid for the blenders needs. While the shake may come out the consistency that you want the blender may need more liquid to start with to help break up the denser objects.

This is a good point.
but the VERY first thing I put in is two cups milk. So I don’t think thats the problem.
I exchanged the second blender. And I bought fresh spinach to put in my shakes. Spinach is odd looking, I expected it to look more like lettuc then it did.

The Hulk Shake
- Water
- Mixed frozen fruits (melon, strawberry, nectarine, etc)
- Frozen blueberries
- Carrots
- Spinach
- Broccoli
- Milled flaxseed
- Strawberry protein powder
The carrots, spinach and broccoli are usually frozen too.
I drink this before training, so I sometimes add some gatorade powder to it if I feel like I might need some extra sugar for my workout.

I’m rootin for ya bud! This one’s gotta live. Nobody could have 3 blenders in a row OD on em. Blending/processing food is a beautiful thing. The possibilities are limitless and the convenience can’t be beat.

I am enjoying my first shake from my third blender right now. No burning smell, and I tried a different outlet this time. My crock-pot runs just fine from the outlet I have been using, but maybe blenders are different.
I use spinach in the shake. And I can’t taste a lick of it. Maybe I have found a way to get a serving of the stuff a day.
Thats good. One thing I forgot to mention before though.
Check the bearings and arbor of the pitcher sometimes. They can get a little sticky and bound. Sometimes just a little twist and jiggle to free them up will save you a big hassle.
Keep it in mind for future reference though.

Excellent, hopefully this one will be a bit more cooperative than the first two. I hope you don’t go through cars like you do blenders.

He might. I’m pretty sure he drives a Silverado.
Peanut Butter is unfairly demonized. The amount of trans fat is so small most equipment cannot even detect it. And personally, I’m not sweating 3g of sugar.
Natural PB pisses me off because of the oil separation. Even if I stir is thorougly, I still feel like I’m eating crushed peanuts with oil poured on top. No thanks.

Put the natural PB in the refrigerator after you mix the oil and PB and it will stay mixed. My Smucker’s Natural PB says to do this right on the container.
