I plan on supersetting but I’m mainly just looking to see what you think of it. I tried to add volume training into a push/pull split.

I know Thibs doesn’t recc it anymore, but those were the best gains i’ve ever had on a program.

Why does he not recommend it anymore? I looked into HSS-100 also because I saw at one point he recommended that. So which one?

Why not? I didn’t gain alot on my bench but my squat BLEW UP. Don’t remember how much exactly but I think it was around 40lbs for that first set of 5 by the end of the 4 weeks. I’ve thought about running it again at some point.

I’m now looking at I,BODYBUILDER? Does it actually work as they’re saying?

Yeah, before I started to try some more specialised routines I did a shorter version (I think 6 weeks or so) of OVT and besides some good strength gains I also saw decent size gains afterwards. So yeah, I too wonder why it’s not recommended anymore…

I think what he meant was…this routine wouldn’t be Thibs first choice since it doesn’t follow his evolved methods (perfect rep, low reps, ramping)

However, if it works well for some people then the proof is in the pudding.

Give it a shot and see how it works out for you?

I’ve decided on the following.

day 1

pull/abs

A1.deadlifts 6x3
A2.dumbbell curls 6x3
B1.Wide-Grip Pulldowns 6x3
B2. Stiff-Leg Deadlifts 6x3

day 3

push

A1.hack squats 6x3
A2.dummbbell press 6x3
B1.overhead press 6x3
B2. dips 6x3

day 5

pull/abs

A1.stiff-leg deadlifts 5x5
A2.hammer curl 5x5
B1.barbell row 5x5
B2.shrugs 5x5

day 7

push

A1.bulgarian split squat 5x5
A2. incline barbell press 5x5
B.close grip bench press 5x5
C. overhead press 5x5

I will be using ramping and the perfect rep on every set. Comments?

Probably the best combination of the two methods…good luck with it.
