So are you doing strongman workouts only or are you doing any conventional weight lifting in the gym? Are you planning to work on adding size after you finish this diet?

No it is only 1 of my 4 workouts, the other 3 are very simple 3 lift per session, all barbell, using big lifts along with some upper body work that I don’t usually do.
If I were really going get into bodybuilding style stuff, yeah. But I am not, I am hoping to got into the strongman contest at my goals leanness and then my australian rules football season starts 2 wks after that so I will transition immediately to 3 lift session per week and 1-2 condition per week. Australian rules requires a ton of interval type running so lower bodyweight/bodyfat and high levels of relative strength suit me well both performance wise and wear and tear on the body.
Hope that answers you question.
Off to get a lift session in.

Ok, back with a quick update. Yesterday I hit 184.8 and again at 185.2 today. Funny thing is this is nearing 20lbs for me, most people that know me would have said “you don’t have 20lbs to lose” before. Obviously I did.
I had a discussion with my wife the other day about how I thought that I was probably closer to 20% when I started. Which possibly means that all this reporting on obesity maybe low balling how fat people really are, I have imagine that a lot of truly obese people are 50% bodyfat, if you take a woman that is 5’3" that weighs 250, 50% of that is 125 probably a decent weight on that height. Just interesting to me.
The more and more people that I know that are on or have tried the v-diet the more I am being forced to believe that I am an anomaly. Everyone hates me when I say this but honestly “it hasn’t been that hard”.
I am also starting to believe that HOT-ROX is a bigger factor than I though it was. I am not a huge supplement guy, and I have probably taken more supplements while doing this than ever before. I have to think that fat burning, muscle saving, stimulant, and even appetite suppressing effects of HOT-ROX Extreme w/ the Carbolin 19 play a big role
Walking is huge, probably can’t do enough of it and in my case direct correlation to the weight/fat loss.
I am starting to plan my transition off, likely going to be a 1 meal per day plan for a week or two and then to something low carb after that. Spoke with Chris he said and I have to agree under 100gms would be a good idea.
I as get toward this the end I can sort see how that whole thing lays out now Wk1 your body is just shocked Wk2 starting to adapt but not there completely, still a little depleted. Wk3-4 starting to fully adapt this is where you “make your money” on the v-diet week 3-4 it is not just water weight anymore this fat loss. Again just my observation.
Ok time to get some work done.

Very encouraging bro. Thanks so much for that breakdown of Wks1-4. Helps a lot man.

Ok I am going to try and keep this pretty short and sweet since
I have shared quite a few of my insights already; but I will share a couple quick thoughts
-
This was definitely worth it, so if you are 'thinking it about" nut up and get in the game
-
You are probably fatter than you think you are so there is no time like the present to take action
-
It’s never over
-
Metabolic Drive Rules, even after I am done I still enjoy the shakes.
(I am actually working a on top secret Metabolic Drive desert recipe I think I am going to fix it for Thanksgiving I will be sharing it on this thread in the next few days.)
- All be damned if food doesn’t taste better than ever, and I never really want the 'bad stuff"
Here are the Results:
Starting Stats
Weight - 201
Bodyfat - 17.90%
Lean body Mass - 165.021
Waist 38
Thigh 27
End stats
Weight - 182.4
Bodyfat - 11.36%
Lean body Mass - 161.67936
Waist 33
Thigh 23
Change -
Weight - -18.6lbs
Bodyfat - -6.54%
Lean body Mass - -3.3lbs
Waist -5 inches
Thigh -4 inches
Yep I lost some muscle but reckon that part of the price you pay when on a focused plan like this;
I will take 15:3 ratio fat to muscle loss any day.
My It’s Never Over is going to be gunning for 7% bodyfat, it sure seems within reach right now.
Although it may be a bit mutually exclusive I am going to try to get to it while training up for the January
strongman contest. Something is pretty appealing about competing being as lean as possible and with
as high a level of relative strength as possible. I will keep you posted on this.
As far as my transition I have gone with the the 1 meal per day program and will continue as such for at least a week.
Training: I am working on this right now I may use one of Waterbury’s programs or come up with something on my own. I am definitely going
to add back in some conditioning work probably in the form of some sprinting.
I have posted some photos below.
I will keep you posted

You’re quite the motivator… ![]()
Seriously good job! The pictures make it obvious that you did a great job. Not many people make it all the way through and are still positive about it.
Again- good job and keep chugging. 7% is just around the corner.
Ok I thought I would stop back in and give a quick update as it is going on 3 wks post V-diet.
I don’t have any picks but I did stats last weekend just to see where things are
Here’s what I have:
BW - 186.4 - this is up exactly 4lbs since the last day
Bodyfat % - 10.14% this is down 1.2% from the last day
LBM 167.5lbs this is up 6 lbs from the final day
All and all this pretty good in my book. Gives me about 3% to knock off.
Over this time I have been fairly strict but no formal plan. I received Berardi’s Precision Nutrition and glanced through it last night looks to be an great product for the price.
I will be back with some photos or video soon.
