My Velocity Diet

well made it through the holiday party without drinking anything other then club soda, and managed to stay off the massive spread of delicous smelling food. now its time for a walk. [/quote]

Man, I know how that is, it’s hard as hell to stay strong in those circumstances and not give in. You should be pretty damn proud of yourself!

Was tired last night passed out early. feeling kinda tired today as well. had my weakly solid meal today. had grilled chicken over romain lettace, with olive oil and crushed red pepper. was tastey. but it was a business lunch and i didnt choose the resturant. they choose one of my favorite coal oven pizza places. Pizza is my biggest weakness.

i had to sit at the table with a delicous pie right in my face the whole time while i ate my salad. i just put my head down and ate my greeens and grilled chicken. two days, two tests and i passed em both.

Day 5
244
32%BF

just got home from the gym, did a great Big Shoulders/Trap Little Chest, and tri’s workout.

Feeling good. its nasty outside though.

day 7
243
31.8%BF

So i lost 7lbs in one week. not bad. i went to the gym today, did big back/bi/little leg

going on my walk shortly

should be fun.

Yup - first week will be high - 7 pounds is good. A lot of water and glycogen weight lost, and some fat too. The next weeks the number will likely be much lower as you shed just fat.

How come you are hitting the gym and doing your NEPA walk on the same day?

Congrats on week 1 - it’s a major milestone!

What is a NEPA walk? Rather, what does NEPA stand for?

Non-exercise physical activity.
On the V-Diet, one goes for NEPA walks on non-lifting days.

im have been doing a walk every day, and this week will be doing two walks on non lifting days. im pretty sure your supposed to do nepa everyday.

Well yes, you are supposed to do a level of physical activity daily, but in the original V-Diet plan, the NEPA walk of around 3.5 miles is recommended for non-lifting days, not all days.

well im doing it every day.

day 8
243
31.2%BF

Hit the gym this morning. did big chest/tri/ little shoulder/trap

now just relaxing for a bit before i go for a walk, then watching the giants game.

Hope the patriots loose.

Huh. I thought you were supposed to walk everyday?

oh dear…

Hi Brad,

too bad about the Patriots, heh.

Good for you on your diet!

I think it’s interesting pizza seems to be most troublesome food for people.

but the giants are in the game still. and im positive your supposed to walk every day.

Day 9
242.8
29.5%BF

I know that the scale BF reading is not the most precise, but it sure is nice seeing a number in the 20’s for the first time in a long time.

Nope. Wakiki is right - walks are on non-lifting days only.

Hi, fellow V-Dieters…I just started mine and I know for sure you’re supposed to do NEPA walks everyday. I had asked Chris about it as I participate in boxing and was worried I’d over do it, as it is very taxing. He said to skip NEPAs on days I box but will be doing them on all other days…Keep going strong bwbski.

thanks, i knew i read that your supposed to do nepa every day.

Hm. I stand corrected. I could’ve sworn it was on non-workout days only.

Anyway, keep trucking. I can agree it’s nice to see the numbers start changing, and can be a great psychological boost.

Regarding your question about fish oil burps, I just took all the pills before I went to sleep. Didn’t bother me at all while I was sleeping.

Huh. The “Velocity Diet for Women” article says NEPA every day. Maybe it’s just for chicks? And boxers?
