She radically changed her diet, there will probably be several effects from that which she might not understand. Her skin is very dry now, but over time her body will most likely adjust and it won’t be as much as a problem.
Although if she goes back to eating normally again it will probably throw her body out of whack again and cause acne. That’ll just confirm (to her) that the raw food diet was good for her and she was a fool to stop doing it.

being a whole foods employee i know a lot of people who are raw vegans. ive heard stories about things like cancer/other serious illnesses literally disappearing, allergies clearing up completely etc.
the people i know who are raw vegans eat a lot of raw foods every day to obtain proper nutrition. ive seen results of this diet first hand.
skin clearing up, eyes completely white and clean looking, complexion improvements, and of course weight loss and health improvements. i back a raw vegan diet, though i could/would not ever do it myself.
Even cavemen were smart enough to figure out how to get a BBQ started and cook some dead animals on it
Lol yeah and then they started dieing of cancer
The explosion in cancer rates is a relatively modern phenomenon. Causation is unclear, however, as most cavemen did not live into their 50’s and beyond.
I read an article in Scientific American (I think) where the author postulated that the ability to cook food is what began the leaps in brain volume that culminated in Homo sapiens sapiens. Apparently, since cooked food (I think he was talking mostly about meat) is easier to digest, that allowed early man to take in enough calories to support a growing brain.
Also, there was some mention of the ability of the human digestive system to handle potentially toxic and carcinogenic byproducts of the cooking process - I’m guessing he was talking about soot and char, but for all I know, there are chemical reactions that occur when cooking meat that our bodies can handle, but which are bad for other animals.
Quick summary: raw foods sounds like a stupid idea, but I guess if you can get enough protein and good fats somehow, then it’s not a problem.
