My Road to Ripped

If I had it my way Dave, I wouldn’t lose a pound! I’m not really worried about scale weight, I hate losing weight as I’ve never been a fat guy, just always an athletic build but never ripped. In these next 2 weeks I’m sure I’ll a good amount of weight, but I’m going to start carb cycling for the summer so I should put my mass back on slowly.
PM workout went well last night. Bar speed was great for the deads(345), I think I could bump to 365 with nut much of a drop in speed, but I’m worried about recovery as my weights get higher and rest periods shorter. I also threw in squats holding a plate on my chest as a finisher last night. Today I’m going to do some interval walking after school, and go to the gym for cardio later.

Ok good call! I know what you mean I just thought you where just cutting! I definaly think you should keep at it then slow clean bulks are always good!yah cuz your really lean now! Keep on lifting bud!

AM workout today was good, I got everything done quick, but the pull-ups felt heavy. I am going to bump my fats up slightly, I think my calories have been too low the past 2 days. I still haven’t gone above 35g carbs on any day other than carb-up day in 3 weeks, yet I’m holding a lot of fat on my upper ass /oblique area, much more so than my stomach.

I know this is where most of my brothers tend to hold their fat as well so I’m getting a little bit concerned. Cardio is up to around 50 total mins on non-lifting days, and 35 mins on lifting days, with one day completely off.

AM workout todays kicked ass. Drank a redline along with my ECA, so I had the juices flowing. I stuck with 255 lbs. for rows, and my form was great, felt much lighter than last week. used 105’s for incline, I had a workout partner today which made it easier to set up, I think I’ll bump to 115’s next week; to close out this training phase. All the other movements went well, so let’s hope tonights workout doesn’t suck. I am not going to do any direct calf movements as I feel like I have turf toe on all of my left toes, except the big one. This feeling has been building up, mainly in my left arch, during calf raises this week. It just so happens in “Anatomy for Strength and Fitness Training” the only muscles I can’t seem to find covered are those of the feet, so i don’t know what the hell is up.

interesting, never really seen supersets THAT big before haha. is it due to time constraints, or is that just what works best for you?

My work capacity and strength are what I believed to be adequate heading into this fat loss phase; so I chose to do the giant supersets because of the amount of muscle recruited, hoping I could avoid muscle loss while dieting. Also, I didn’t want to get weaker and cardio is gay, so this let me minimize both. My upper arm measurements haven’t changed at all, my strength has gone UP and I’ve gone from 220 to 214, so I am satisfied thus far. For the AM workout today I added 1 extra set for the dip/chin, deloaded for the last set and taken to 1-2 reps short of total failure.

On the last set of my giant pairing I took every exercise to failure, as I will do with every AM and PM workout this week. I am planning on being overtrained by the end of this week, deloading next week and taking advantage of the supercompensation effect.

in the least homosexual and most heterosexual way, i must say your bodys very well developed. your traps are through the roof. rows and deadlifts or did you used to do isolation work?

I’ve been a football player up until this past year, and I will find out soon if the NCAA can reinstate me, so it’s all cleans, rows, and compounds. Also, all 7 of my brothers have very developed traps/upper back, as well as my dad; however none of us have big legs. And trust me, it’s not because of a lack of effort!

ahhhh nice nice
i would gas, i wouldnt have that work capacity. im on the 5x5 right now.
you gonna update this regularly?
